Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Nestled in the Tyne Valley, on our beef and sheep farm, at the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Langley Dam Glamping provides high quality, en-suite accommodation in our unique glamping cabins. The six ‘Langley Longboat’ cabins are positioned on the bank of Langley Dam Reservoir, providing exceptional views over the 14 acres of water and towards Whitfield moor. Langley Dam itself is a commercial fly fishery and Troutmaster water. Visitors are welcome, and encouraged, to enjoy the fishing experience that the water provides (charges do apply, but residents have discounted fishing fees). We also have rowing boats that can be hired for fishing purposes. We have created some fantastic 3D showcases of the inside of the cabins. You can use these to get a better feel of how the cabins are laid out. We have created 3 showcases to reflect the 3 types of cabins we have. Humbleton is unique, then The Wonneys which is the same layout as The Rushy Lot, and Wheatleys which is the same as Blackcleugh and Bare Bones.

Humbleton

Glamping pod · Sleeps 4
Humbleton cabin is positioned nearest to the glamping car park. It is our cabin that is designed to be accessible to anyone with mobility needs, but is as well-equipped as all our other cabins, so that any visitor can enjoy their stay in it. If you have children that are reluctant to share a double bed then this may also be the cabin for you as the sleeping arrangements are different from our other cabins. We have ensured that the path from the car park to this cabin is concrete (not gravel) to aid the passage of wheelchairs. We have ensured level access between the path and the stable-style door of the cabin, which is also wide enough for wheelchair access. The cabin can accommodate up to 4 adults. Inside there are two fixed single beds, one of which has side access and is located near to the main door ensuring easy escape in the event of an emergency. There is also a king size sofa bed. The kitchenette is equipped with a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge with small freezer compartment, double ceramic hob and a combination microwave oven with a grill. The worktop level in this cabin is lower than in our other cabins. There is a drop leaf table with folding chairs for dining. The cabin is kept cosy with underfloor heating and we provide free superfast WiFi. We have also installed a 28” smart TV with DVD player. The en-suite ‘wet room’ is larger than in our other cabins and has a wheelchair accessible doorway. There is an electric power shower, sink, shaver socket and heated towel rail. The flushing toilet has a higher seat. We have provided grab rails next to the toilet and the shower. A seat for showering is also provided. As with all our other cabins, there is a decked area leading on to a gravel firepit/BBQ area to the side of the cabin where seating is provided. Part of the firepit area is paved rather than gravel to aid access. The cabin has a Swedish wood-fired hot tub available as an additional extra. Enjoy the long summer evenings or cool star-lit nights relaxing in the warm water of your personal tub. Please see our policy document regarding the hire and use of our hot tubs. Extra towels for outdoor use are provided when you add the hot tub option onto your booking. This is also a dog friendly cabin – we allow up to 2 well behaved dogs in each cabin
