Our glamping site is set on our family farm in the rural Welsh Border in Herefordshire and we are a dog friendly site. We have just 3 tents in 2.5acres, we want our guests to enjoy the peace and privacy of a rural getaway but have the luxuries of a comfy bed, toilets and showers, a kitchenette and a private fire pit. We are nestled between family farms and surrounded by sheep, cattle and footpaths, so an adventure is at your doorstep. If you're looking for a peaceful, secluded and romantic place to unwind then our site is ideal. We have gorgeous views over the Black Mountains and are close to the towns of Hay-on-Wye and Hereford.

Set on our working family farm our glamping site has only 3 tents well spaced out to give everyone a peaceful and rural stay. Our 4 person emperor tent is set in our 2.5 acre glamping field with gorgeous views over the Black Mountains. Bring your dog, family or friends and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. It is comfortably furnished with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, spare blankets and hot water bottles, a kitchenette, decking and a fire pit so everything you need. We want to provide a holiday where you can enjoy the feeling of camping and being amongst nature without the hassle of packing your car full to the brim with equipment! We have everything you need including bedding, cooking utensils and games, and awaiting you on arrival is tea, coffee and hot chocolate. You are welcome to explore the farm on the footpaths saying hello to any sheep or calves you encounter along the way! We have a stream on the farm which is lovely for a paddle on hotter days and for the dogs to have a play. We are only a short drive away from the Black Mountains which are a popular tourist spot for hiking. And if walking isn't for you then Hay-on-Wye is just a short drive away with many independent shops and cafes and a beautiful river running through it where you can swim, canoe or paddle board.

Shepherd's Lookout

This new Shepherd's hut has been hand crafted and includes everything you need to enjoy a cosy and comfortable stay while enjoying the outdoors. It is in a secluded and private area of the farm with stunning views over the Black Moutains. You can see The Skirrid, Cat's Back, Hay Bluff and Garway Hill, all from your dining table! The hut is in a raised on a platform overlooking the Black Mountains and dogs can enjoy the open space in the field. You can unwind after a long days hiking in the wood fired hot tub or make dinner overthe fire pit. Arrive to complimentary tea and coffee, it really is the ideal retreat to get away and relax. The hut is fully furnished. It has a double bed with extra blankets and pillows. There is an ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. The kitchen area has a sink, gas stove, cooking utensils and coolbox. There is no electricity however there are lights and USB charging ports powered by a solar battery. Outside, the balcony has an outdoor seating area and wood fired hot tub.

Peaceful bell tent with hot tub

Such a beautiful spot! Took advantage of the hot tub which took around 1-2 hours to heat up. Tipi has all amenities that we needed. Beautiful hikes in nearby areas. We went up to Hay Bluff which was about 30 mins away. Woke up to spectacular views Perfect weekend away!

We had a lovely week staying in the cats back tent at upper House farm. The views outside were beautiful. Jonathan was great, sorting straight away any minor issues that cropped up. A couple of suggestions that would take this site from good to great - add a hut next to the showers with a kitchen sink in it. Having this option for washing up would be extremely useful. - if there was somewhere we could freeze ice packs it would really help. We went through loads of bags of shop bought ice trying to keep things cool in the cool box during the week. Even an old freezer in the corner of one of your barns would suffice? Overall a peaceful and enjoyable week in lovely Herefordshire, thank you!

We loved the bell tent and the field had the most amazing view. There are only three well spaced tents in the field, so you feel like you have the place to yourself. The tent was very roomy, and had everything we needed (pans, stove, gas, cutlery, plates, cups, tea towel, blankets, hot water bottle, kettle, washing up bowl, lights). Toilets were clean and well stocked, showers were hot. I loved drying off outside with the view, very wild! I would recommend taking essentials like milk, eggs or whatever you need for your first night/morning-as the shop is a bit of a drive. The what three words directions took us straight there. All in all a great weekend break - thank you 😊

We had a lovely break at Upper House Farm. Incredible views, comfortable bed and John and family were so helpful and welcoming. Good amount of space between the tents for the sheep to graze. We’ll aim to go back in the future.

Mountain View Bell Tent

Comfy bed. Good facilities and amazing views. One of the best glamping experiences. Even a carpet in the tent. As well as hot water bottles. Top tip, if a brownie like my husband and I, I would recommend taking some firefighters. Makes lighting a fire easy. Wood is supplied but the coop in Hay on Wye has fire wood which h is bark. Easier to light if you missed out on Scots as a kid.lol.

Rural family escape

We all had an amazing quiet stay. Apart from one other tent right over the other side of the field we had it all to ourselves . Overlooking the mountains sitting round the fire at night and watching the sunset was bliss. Our teenage boys had a great time playing bat and ball and playing kerplunk in the tent when we first arrived. I’ve never slept so well in a tent before or been in a tent with crispy cotton white bed linen and cream carpet! Everything we needed was there except a coffee pot so lucky we had our own. We couldn’t have asked fir anything more. Another great thing-30 minutes drive away was hay on wye where we spent 2 hot days in and out the river at the pebble beach with a picnic. Definitely recommend and will definitely return one day. Thanks fir a great time Sarah Adam and boys

Rural family escape

It was our first glamping. We have 9 years old daughter and a dog. The setting has the most stunning view. It has the necessary items & equipment so you can just relax & enjoy. Only downside was that the power shower can be a bit cold ( because we love hot shower!), but that was it & it was expected as a glamping site. Overall, we loved it & definitely recommend it. Thank you for giving us a great experience :)

Stunning view and easy galmpsite!

Mountain View Bell Tent

Everything you need for cooking and sleeping was there for you to use! The views are AMAZING! The pics you see just can't show the incredible landscape. The privacy is also great - only 3 Glamp Poss in the field. Warm water showers at hand too! Things we loved they had: a portable cooker, firewood and a burn kit (firestarter, lighter etc), all the kitchen utensils you need (plates, cutlery, knives to chop stuff, chopping board etc). A very peaceful stay, completely out of the way of everything, but a 20 minute drive to Haye-on-wye for anything you need! Will be back again :D
