*NEW for 2025* A small, eco friendly yurt campsite on five acres set in the beautiful Herefordshire/Welsh borders The Black Mountains which form part of the Brecon Beacons National Park and Wales are on your doorstep and there’s a large choice of adventure activities, experiences and sightseeing to be had. Hay On Wye, famous for its many bookshops and its annual Book Festival attracts visitors worldwide and is 7 miles away. The campsite is on the edge of a village and next door to a great pub. The village boasts a second pub, a restaurant and a well stocked shop and Post Office all within walking distance. There’s a great bus network with regular buses going to all parts of Herefordshire and into Wales with a bus stop by the pub. Each accommodation yurt is solar powered and has its own timber framed and canvas field kitchen, a bathroom cabin with a modern compost loo and its own private deck with a shared shower block centrally located between the four yurts. Pets are welcome and the five acre meadow is securely fenced all aroundSet in five acres of wild flower meadow on the Herefordshire/Welsh border, Orchard Yurt is perfectly located to make the most of exploring the stunning scenery and historic sites that abound in the Border Marches. Walking the Brecon Beacons and Offa's Dyke path, a visit to the local town of Hay On Wye with its famous book shops, kayaking and canoeing the River Wye, guided foraging, visits to artisan producers, even a gin school where you get to create your very own tipple.. how long have you got? Orchard Yurt is the perfect cosy retreat at the end of a long days sightseeing, the double bed has Egyptian cotton bedding with 15tog down duvet, a comfortable sofa, reading chair.. and a wood burning stove ready to light the moment you get in. It has its own fully equipped timber and canvas field kitchen, a bathroom cabin with a modern compost loo and wash hand basin, a private deck which makes the most of the views and the sunshine. There's a shared shower block set in its own private garden a short walk away. The summerhouse in the shower garden also has mirrors and hairdryers for anyone who wants them.
