We had the best weekend in the gypsy caravan. The area was really pretty and felt very private and we had so much space to ourselves. The caravan itself was well equipped and the bed was really comfy. The separate bath caravan was also lovely.

We absolutely loved our stay! Highlights included the gorgeous bathhouse, cosy and well stocked caravan and taking peaceful walks in the woods.

I was greeted on arrival by a gorgeous collie dog, who showed me around the accomodation (in return for a game of fetch).
The gypsy caravan itself was very cute and cosy, and safe for solo travellers as Oak cottage is close by, where Anna lives with her family.
The accomodation is well equipped for cooking, washing up etc. with a lovely hot outdoor shower.
Don't leave without using the bathouse. Such a relaxing experience. Perfect way to end my visit.

So cosy and comfortable. Loads of firewood and matches provided, as well as eggs and milk which was very kind, along with all kitchen utensils needed.

We didn't know exactly what to expect, but when we discovered our site it was beyond our expectations.
A little slice of woodland paradise.
We got lucky with the weather, but we needn't have worried, the canopy of the trees was enough protection alone. Sitting by our outdoor fireplace after cooking up a meal whilst the bathouse filled up ready for a relaxing dip in the middle of a beautiful bit of woodland. I dunno, sounds pretty good to me.
There are a few different lovely walks along paths around the local area, that are well signposted. (The family also left some hand drawn basic maps/routes around the area, which was lovely)
The gypsy caravan was so cosy, and beautifully decorated.
The fresh eggs, milk, flour, and a lemon were a really nice touch. And if you haven't flipped a breakfast pancake outside in the woods in the morning, what have you been doing???
We walked quite easily to Tintern Abbey and found some lovely spots along the way.
We will certainly look at returning sometime, maybe to check out the yurt site.
Did I mention the outdoor shower wrapped around an oak tree?

We had the best time at the gypsy caravan and bath house. We are looking to rebook to one of there other sites. The supper hamper was absolutely stunning and we cooked it on the BBQ. We did take other ingredients so we managed to have steak, garlic and mushroom sauce with the freshly picked salad that was supplied. Just wow! Definitely recommended

Decompress here. What a gorgeous spot with so many thoughtful details. I defy anyone not to be thoroughly relaxed by a hot tub in this shady glade. We loved cooking on the stonewall bbq and waking up under the leaves. A really special experience at the Hideaway Hut 💚💚💚

Had a great time on a spontaneous solo trip, staying in the Gypsy caravan. The hosts were very welcoming (including their adorable dog), friendly and willing to share information about the area with good places to visit. The area is amazing with fantastic views and wildlife. The outdoor shower is private, as well as being lovely and hot even in the cooler mornings. The camp had everything I needed to be comfortable and more. My first trip after settling in was a walk down to Tintern to go round the Abbey there which is stunning and the walk itself is beautiful along the river Wye. The bathhouse was a fantastic addition to use after this walk to rest my feet ready for the next day. I borrowed one of the electric bikes they offer to go see more nearby sites and towns and visited a local nature reserve where I saw a family of wild boar 🐗! The bike itself was great and being electric made the journey much easier, Anna (host) gave me a quick demo of how to use it which was helpful as never used an electric before as well as handed me some maps with routes to bike along that helped me navigate around. On my last evening I used the bbq which was easy to set up and a nice way to end my trip. I would recommend the place to friends/family and to check out their other accommodations (yurts and cabin) as they look great to. 🏕

This place is the nuts. I stayed for three nights in the Hut and it was just sublime. I wanted a place where I could get away from civilisation for a few days and this spot provides exactly that.
Everything you need outside of your consumables is provided for you. The facilities are well above standard. Hot water on demand (the shower is better than what I’ve got in my flat. I’m actually missing it) and the bed is super comfortable.
Don’t be tight, pay for the use of the hot tub. Expect to get it wrong the first time you reheat it, learn from your mistake and then enjoy the process of heating your own tub. It’s gorgeous.
Anna and John-Paul were perfect hosts. They completely respected my privacy and were on hand if I needed them which, beyond directions for a hike, I didn’t.
If you don’t have your own dog to take then Rider is onsite to keep you company on hikes or around the hot tub if you want him. I had the best time hanging out with him (warm up your throwing arm. That boy loves a stick)
All this is to say that I had an amazing time here. Don’t think, just book. You won’t regret it. I’ll be back again before the summer has chipped off.

Amazing little cabin in the perfect setting tto make you forget the outside world. The hideaway hut was the best location of the three on the campsite to as it was at the end of the trail so the other guests didn't have to pass you to get to the yurt or the cabin. Anna was lovely and friendly and had some good knowledge of the area if you needed it. Would recommend to anyone as a great place to relax and unwind but not be too far from civilisation if you need it and the Brecon Beacons are not too far for some hiking and beautiful scenery.

Me and my two girls 7 and 10 stayed 2nights at Anna's magical woodland campground togther with our dog over the Easter Break and absolutly loved it. Despite the cold and wet weather the yurt was super cosy and warm with the woodburner going all the time and big enough for all for of us! The yurt and adjoining two cabins are beautifully designed, full of rustic charm and individual personality. Everything we needed for an easy and relaxing glamping experience was provided. Top hot shower and hot tub, great outdoor cooking facilities and nice compost loo! Anna and her family are lovely and super helpful and the surrounding landscape stunning! We will be back!

We had a great weekend staying in the hut. Beautiful, quiet site, surrounded by gorgeous woodland. We did not want to come home and would love to return one day. The hut had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away from everyday life.

The cabin is perfect, so so comfy and cosy, with lots of little personal touches that make it extra special. It’s right on the edge of ancient woodland so the sound of birdsong completely surrounds you. Anna is a wonderful host who came to our rescue and fixed the lights in the shower room ASAP.
The compost loo is probably the most charming toilet I’ve ever seen!
We booked the Shinrin Yoku Forest Bathing and it was brilliant - the 2 hours flew by and we were totally immersed in the forest and it’s healing energies.
Can’t recommend the Hideaway Hut enough, it is truly magical and we would love to come back someday! Thank you for having us :)

Anna's Gypsy caravan was the perfect break away.
It was so quiet up there, all you could hear in the evenings was the wildlife and the rain, which was very relaxing.
The land around the caravan was a beautiful walk, we even bumped into some deer!
Waking up to the sound of roosters and seeing cows out your front door was something else.
Would definitely go back

My partner and I loved staying in the gypsy caravan for our wedding anniversary. It felt very secluded while having everything we wanted plus more. The bath house was a lovely way to relax on a breezy evening and the bed was so comfy. Was great being right next to the Offa's Dyke footpath too. Would recommend for a cosy stay!

Camping Cabin
A perfect escape, with easy access to the beautiful Wye Valley, would recommend a trip to Symonds yat East for hiring a canoe by the hour for a trip up the river. The Shepard’s hut and hot tub is perfect with everything provided but would suggest taking bath robes, extra towels and footwear for moving around the hot tub, to the hut and toilet as other guests can walk by on the way to their accommodation.

Absolutely loved my stay here. Stayed with my dog and loved the hut itself, incredible king sized bed, nice seating area near the window to relax, everything needed inside. Beautiful woodland views from the side window. The outdoor shower was the nicest I've ever had and an experience in itself, and nice to have a private compost toilet too.
The grounds were large enough to walk your dog on, and having the Offas Dyke path right outside the main gate was fantastic for a keen hiker. Lots of local walks, and things to see, such as the castle, church, local pub. We also visited Tintern Abbey and walked down the breathtaking River Wye in Chepstow.
Anna is also such a nice person and can't wait to return in the near future. Felt quite sad leaving.

What a fantastic mini break, I will be back! The host was helpful and her children were very informative too, such a lovely family.
The yurt was rustic in all the ways I love, the bed was amazing, comfortable and warm and the hot tub was perfect. The site is just beautiful, lush and green and meeting the horses was a treat...I love horses. A relaxed atmosphere, even though it was pouring with rain one of the days it was still a magical place to enjoy being in the country.

Me and my sister had the most amazing time! It was so beautiful being out in nature, we went on a canoe trip which was Anna’s recommendation you should definitely book this it was surreal!! Super rural and helped us feel grounded!

I had a lovely break in the gypsy caravan, the bed was super comfy and the spa bath was a a wonderful added luxury. It's close to the main house but it wasn't a problem and felt very secluded and peaceful. Would definitely come again!

We stayed in the camping cabin and loved it. Arrived in the dark and it looked amazing lit up. Fire heated the cabin so well and wood burning hot tub was ace. Loved the added touch of eggs, milk, flour and lemon.. shame I wrecked the pancakes but was worth a try! Definitely going back!!
