Daisy May’s Farm
Basic, but with animals
Was looking for a back-to-nature near-wild camping experience and this fitted the bill. No electricity or wi-fi, just us and some sheep (which is what we wanted). What we did get was a stand-pipe for drinking water and a toilet block with a shower, so not completely off-the-grid but enough for us to pretend we were Bear Grylls.
The staff were super-friendly and the added bonus of seeing and interacting with the wide selection of farm-animals was very welcome.
Daisy May’s Farm
Very rustic - needs a little tidy
Lovely rustic camping experience. Not as much space outside the tent for the kids to run around as hoped, but being able to light a fire is a rarity and a treat. It is advertised as bare bones, but does come across a little shabby - it could all do with a little love and attention (whilst retaining it's basic, wild feel). Animal and farm interaction is lovely, you're in close proximity to it all, despite knowing this I was still surprised by all the glowing eyes from the herd of sheep when I pointed a torch into the field! Overall, stripped back, charming, could do with a bit of a tidy.

Daisy May’s Farm
The idea of camping on a farm is amazing but unfortunately it's very run down. There was rubbish left on the pitch we picked, didn't realise till we had started pitching up, was obviously not checked when previous person left. We left a day early as no one wanted to use the shower and looked terrible, the toilet was bad enough, it's positioned very badly next to the pigs who unfortunately stink!
Being in a field with the animals roaming was lovely and feeding the animals the kids loved but sadly bad outweighed the good
