Now you and the kids can stay overnight at Camp Lion at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the ‘wildest family-friendly campsite in South Yorkshire, and wake up to birdsong and the truly unforgettable sound of African lions roaring… Come along to Camp Lion and you`ll be staying in a spacious grass meadow within the grounds of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Booking a stay entitles you to exclusive discounted multi-day entry to the park, and additional discounted days can be added during your stay - please just ask at the Camp Lion office. Even after the park closes for the day, you can look forward to organised games and evening activities under the cover of Camp Lion Lodge Mess Tent, where theres a licensed bar and snacks on offer too. Site facilities also include a breakfast den, access to the Oasis Kids Outdoor Play Area and Camp Lion Shop, where you can pick up anything vital that got left behind at home. There`s also plenty of space to let the kids have a good run around (and hopefully tire themselves out ready for a good night`s sleep…) Camp Lion is a doddle to get to as well, being just five minutes drive from Junction 3 of the M18 and 20 minutes from the centre of Doncaster. An incredible experience for everyone, this family friendly 12 acre campsite is built on a former riding school and farm attraction that has since developed into the incredible Yorkshire Wildlife Park that it is today. A traditional wild camping escape in the heart of nature awaits. Campers of all ages can enjoy an unforgettable fun family night (or two) under the stars. Experience the thrill of a wild sleepover just a stone's throw from the incredible animals. There are 100 spacious 10m x 10m non electric grass pitches suitable for tents, caravans, motorhomes, and tourers. Sleeping up to six people each, these 10m x 10m pitches are not far from the animal enclosures. Come along to Camp Lion and you'll be staying in a spacious grass meadow within the grounds of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Guests will have an exclusive discounted multi-day entry to the park, and additional discounted days can be added during your stay, just ask at the Camp Lion office. With over 400 animals and 70 different species in the park, you'll never run out of things to do! Campsite guests even have an exclusive entrance to the site between 6pm-9pm. There is a dedicated washroom & shower facilities with disabled facilities also available. Please note, that fire pits are not allowed. Dogs are unfortunately not permitted.
