Tranquil Camping
Very peaceful and private location! Stefana was an excellent host, welcoming and extremely helpful. There were trails on the back part of her property and there were a number of other hiking trails nearby. This was an excellent stopping point for visiting Mystic and other towns close by. I would definitely stay here again!

We were very pleased with this site. It was very quiet and very private. The only amenity, besides picnic table, was a porta-potty, which was the cleanest, most pleasant one we have ever had to use. We would gladly recommend this site and happily stay here again

Campsites clean and sizeable. The horses were awesome! It was really cool to be able to interact with all the horses, they were super friendly and gentle. The host Steph was so nice and gave up a tour and lots of information about the property. We can't wait to go back here again! Highly recommend it!

Site 3 - Organic Hemp Farm Retreat
Perfect for us!
This was our second time staying here. There is privacy and beautiful woods with well cleared trails leading to the camp sites. Clear enough to walk barefoot carefully. There is a port a potty available close to the trail head. Picnic tables and it’s tucked well behind the property so you have the feeling of being secluded, but not far from the main house and gate if you need to run out and grab things you may need. Mini horses play at dusk or just hang out during the day. There are chickens there ready to provide breakfast as well! We think it’s perfect for us and the host is amazing! Very friendly and easy to chat with! You can find her tending to her garden usually if you have any questions! We will be returning customers for as long as we can!

Dearest John ..... and great place
First of all, I've never been in a better Port-A-John anywhere.....now, that is not why you stay somewhere, but it sure helps.
It was hard to find since Organic Hemp Farms is not a sign....it should be 'Better Communities' I think was out front.
Once we found it, it was great, you can go deep in the woods or stay near the edge like us and it is all good.
This is a good quite hip camp.....owner was super-duper nice

We had a wonderful time and Stefana was great. She took the time to let us meet the rescued mini horses, show us the hemp field and hoop house vegetables. Her farm is doing great things. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Site 3 - Organic Hemp Farm Retreat
We had a great time there. Stefana is really kind and helpful. If you got used to back-country camping, this spot should be easy and fun. Some spots are not flat and no table so if you expect fancy glamping type of thing, this is not the spot. We brought our own chairs, water tanks, side table, lamps and hammocks. We also enjoyed veggies and fresh eggs from the farm. It was a great experience for me.

Look no further!
This is a must go! Don’t hesitate - book it now! Fall asleep to the sound of mini horses grazing nearby and wake up to the coolest looking rooster I’ve ever seen. Take the farm tour, eat next door at Buon Appetite and save time for the wellness center! You won’t regret a dip in the float tank or oxygen chamber to refresh your body after camping for a while.

Staying at Stef's was wonderful! She showed me around and helped me find the perfect spot to hammock camp. She also gave me a tour of the rest of the farm, I met the chickens and the miniature horses and got to meet some of her awesome volunteers. She's doing some amazing work there for the community!

Site 3 - Organic Hemp Farm Retreat
We loved this place so much! We had a site on the edge of the horse field, but there were other sites more in the woods via hiking trail, looked like each had its own fire pit and some had picnic tables as well. We had total privacy. We got a tour of the greenhouse and garden area where they have hemp plants and other vegetables. There’s chickens there and we were able to gather our own eggs!! The kids really loved that! Very clean Porta potty about 3-5 min walk away from our site. Very peaceful. You can lightly hear rt 2 during the day but at night traffic slows to practically nothing. The horses get playful with each other in the evening and we’re entertaining to watch, nice fields to walk around and trails in the woods as well.
We will be back for sure because the kids loved it there and they loved Stefana!!

Horses by your tent- what’s better?
Camping in Connecticut can be difficult so this was definitely an appreciated site! Can be hard to find campground, but called host and she was super helpful. We were the only guests at the ground so it was quiet, but the sites are rather close together and not super private so I can imagine that it would be nosier if it was a busy night. LOVED the horses and chickens- definitely the best part of camping here.

Site 6 - Organic Hemp Farm Retreat
Easy check in. Drive in sites are spread out directly around the fenced in horse field. Other sites you have to walk in to are slightly more secluded but mostly just look like random fire rings in the underbrush of the woods. I was there in May so maybe they have not been cleared for the season yet? Watch out for poison ivy. Consistent 24/7 car sounds as farm is right off a busy main road.

The camp setup is great! Stefana and the staff are very very pleasant. When arriving I was accommodated thoroughly and given a choice of the 8 clean and well maintained sites available. Location is conveniant to stores and yet the property is secluded. and privated.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Stephana was very sweet and helpful and the place itself was gorgeous and cozy. Perfect for a night of tent camping. There was so much provided for us as well and I felt truly cared for the whole trip. Highly highly recommend this farm to anyone looking for a fun and home-y stay. Having breakfast with the horses was a neat addition as well!

Site 6 - Organic Hemp Farm Retreat
We had a wonderful weekend camping at the Organic Hemp Farm Retreat! It was very relaxing and the forest was beautiful. The trails were well marked and the glacial erratics are majestic. Our young daughters were well-entertained exploring nature, and not one of us had a problem with ticks or mosquitoes. The port-o-potty was one of the cleanest we've encountered and the short trip to and from the car made it very convenient. Would certainly stay here again!

Good low key trip fun for family
Staying with Stefana was a huge joy. We got to plant hemp and experience her wellness center. Truly amazing what a person can accomplish, and how community comes together. The camping site could use a little TLC, but its a very quaint, and unique view with horses right out your window! Foxwoods very close. Definitely go eat at Press On across the street, best sandwich in CT and get some CBD products to soothe the ache -- Stefana has 6+ years treating people naturally with cannabis and CBD. God bless!

Magic
This place is magical!
We arrived late on Friday at around 9 PM. The instructions said to check in at the wellness center across the street and I got a bit nervous when there was no one there, but I called Stefana and she promptly arrived to show us to our campsite on the farm. She also brought us firewood and delicious eggs. You should know that these sites are not fancy - there are no hookups so plan accordingly. In my opinion, that is part of the charm. There are no crowds and nothing you don't need - just you and nature.
On Sunday, Stefana was kind enough to bring us to see the horses (so friendly!). She also showed us the entire facility - she is doing some amazing work along the lines of integrative medicine and also employs veterans and works with the Native American community. Truly inspiring!

Absolutely incredible! This is a hidden gem, there is a 100 acre local interpretive-signed nature trail along the brook next door and a sacred Pequot Native American site stop the ridge...
...the place is laden with history, plus you’re camping right next-door to four little Shetland pony’s that come up and say hi to you in the morning. The staff is friendly and helpful... we’ll be back!!

Got to meet all the animals and learn about them! It was amazing! Would absolutely come back during harvest season too I can only imagine how beautiful it must be when it’s all green!

We needed a last minute campsite when we realized that all the local state parks had closed for the season, and we were so happy to find Stefana's place. Despite the very last minute notice, our hosts were very accommodating, meeting us and escorting us to the site. We didn't stay long and since it was autumn couldn't do as much as better whether, but did enjoy having a nice fire in the pit they've built, and being greeted by the miniature horses in the morning. Would love to come back in the summer.
