"Downtown" Comptche is a quiet rural town in the Redwoods, nestled between Anderson Valley wine country, the Pacific coast and State Parks. Our orchard and organic veggie garden and chickens are situated between the Post Office, church and school. Two small playgrounds are within walking distance .Historical buildings and water tower, ancient redwood stumps remain in Comptche from the early 1900's In July and August blackberries abound and apples are plentiful. There are events in Anderson valley and Ft. Bragg as well as the Boonville County fair and we are a half hour from Mendocino village
