Eco friendly campground
Beautiful, eco friendly camp and farm! Nestled in the hills outside Hemet, you feel as if you’re one with nature. This camp is also a small community and shares a kitchen, bathrooms and laundry if desired. Accommodated our 36’ 5th when and we also saw tent campers. Will be back again when we pass through! Camping with Tons of Activities!!
Everyone at EcoShire was extremely welcoming and caring, they were willing to help with our difficulty in the extreme weather that we experienced. Jim and Dawn were both kind and very enjoyable hosts and friends. The Chef Don was also very generous and helpful with cooking and cleaning at the community kitchen. My wife and I felt comfortable and at ease during our 6 day stay at EcoShire and we both enjoyed the chill vibe and people while we camped in the pouring rain. They have tons of activities and a large amount of beautiful land to explore and hike around. My wife and I are both very excited to return for more camping trips. Highly recommend giving this beautiful campsite with kind welcoming people a visit it’s 100% worth it.

I freakin love Jim. I went on a cold wet rainy winter day and he made sure I was comfortable and set me up with a fire. I will be coming back many times, cant wait to see it in the spring. Loved exploring the property

This land has an awesome story! I loved talking with Jim; visitors oughta ask him about the history of EcoShire. The land is pretty cleared (from past usage) so it’s not very vegetated, but the camp provides a great community feeling. Restoration is in progress. The solar-thermal powered shower was awesome and much appreciated. I will definitely return!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Most magical campground I have ever been to! I arrived on Thanksgiving & met Mallory who gave me a rundown of the whole area and later shared some raviolis with me (bc she’s awesome & it was Thanksgiving & I didn’t realize nothing around would be open)
I stayed in campsite #13. Up above and lots f privacy with a giant boulder. Close to everyone but totally had privacy. There are animals, gardens, bathrooms, showers, charging station, bikes, art everywhere! So much to see & do.
I met Jim, Dawn & family the next day. I took a hike up to the fairy village, built a fairy house and was invited to Friendsgiving that Sunday which I’m so bummed out I missed. I wish I had more time to check everything out.
I WANT TO LIVE HERE! This place is super special & I am definitely coming back. ❤️

Hubby and I had a blast at the campsite! It's so nice to see how Jim & Dawn are constantly improving their property. They're such great people, too--you feel right at home from moment you step foot on it (which isn't saying much for some places). The price of camping here is really reasonable as well; we went with our large group and got more than what we paid for in terms if space/quality which made everyone happy!! Finally...it's far enough away from city lights you can use your telescope after months without being able find any dark skies outside due to light pollution.

Well maintained w/beautiful views
Safe, peaceful & entertaining if you love the great outdoors. Enough amenities to feel like glamping, even in a tent. Common area with fire pit, fridge/freezer, microwave, flush compost toilet & solar shower. It’s quite evident these gracious hosts clearly love the land!

Jim's place is very well put together! Peaceful, clean, community feel with as much privacy as you like. I keep to myself, but Jim has a great vibe (like a warm hug). My allergies flared up a bit while in the area, but still enjoyed my stay.

Glamming in November
I absolutely loved staying at the Ecoshire in a fabulous steeple tent with a real mattress. Yes it was cold at night because it was November but I was warm in my bed breathing the cold air. The cold air felt like a health treatment for my lungs. Soon after the sun came up, it warmed up and revealed a beautiful landscape great for exploring. In addition there is a canteen to shower, get coffee and converse with the proprietors, Jim, Dawn and Mallory. They can inform you about their current practices and ongoing plans for developing this property into a natural and environmentally sustainable place that will serve as a model for other places.

Would highly recommend!
Jim was very friendly and accommodating. He was considerate to how close we were in proximity to other campers and placed us in a nice secluded area of the campgrounds.
We enjoyed the campsite so much that we will be returning to Ecoshire for many visits in the future.

I loved dispersed camping at Down to earth.Jim and Dawn are truly welcoming hosts.The camping areas are quiet with great views.The camp site has a solar heated shower which is a great bonus.I would happily stay again.

This has been my favorite of all the 15 or more Hipcamps I've visited. Jim, Dawn, and gang offer their visitors a very real community inclusion that is genuinely heartfelt. Each campsite is thoughtfully situated, the grounds offer hammocks and seating, the vault toilets are private and clean-smelling, the showers are warm and delightful, and the surrounding vistas are wide open and inspiring. The nights are quiet. It's also super to have a town with all needed supplies and services only 8 miles away. On the property are chickens, a couple of very friendly cats, and 3 goats that like petting. I connected with these folks, their pets, and their space in such a way that will keep drawing me back, for sure. I even signed up for an extra night after my original 3-night stay. I highly recommend Ecoshire for a lovely camping experience!

My friend and I had the best stay at the Ecoshire! The hosts were outstanding, we made amazing new friends, and French toast was served for breakfast! I would recommend staying at the Ecoshire to anyone.
