Great private camping with a cabin
Lots of privacy. Having access to a cabin with clean bathroom, full kitchen was a huge plus. The swamp cooler worked surprisingly well. The only issue we had was with water pressure in the shower. It was just a trickle. Eliah explained that this due to water being supplied by gravity and levels are very low. They plan to install tanks. We recommend doing a bit of cleanup to remove old farm junk to make the property more attractive since it is beautiful out there. Neighbors large friendly Labrador was a great joy and made us feel safe at night in tents.

Our family and I absolutely enjoyed our time at Blur Belly Cabin. there was enough space for us all to sleep indoors. The decoration was very cute and interesting to look at. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment that is in good condition. Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return when we are in the area. We really appreciated Eliah’s communication and responsiveness.

Eliah and her husband are two down to earth, conscientious individuals. They were personable, responsible and all around, a wonderful couple. What they are doing with their land is admirable. My kids took to them right away! You should not hesitate in reserving their space. Good luck to them both, and we look forward to the next visit!

Lassen retreat heaven 🌲🌲
I had the privilege of retreating to Blue Belly for my birthday trip to Lassen. It was our first Hipcamp experience (we are heavy Airbnb users), and I was not expecting much, but the cabin was cozy as can be, well appointed, clean, with so many artistic touches, homey touches (good towels and soap and plants) and nooks to tuck into. We slept al fresco out in the living room on a cushion/mattress topper with the doors all open and fans on, letting in the air and nature chorus. I sat outside with not a human sound to be heard, only woodpeckers and hawks and distant coyotes (saw a fox cross the lawn!). The sky was big at night, with solar twinkly white lights outside, chill chairs to relax in, things to draw and smell and behold. We went to Lassen via both entrances (one day apart), and got to see both sides of this wonderland national treasure.
I needed a silent remote getaway from humanity, and Blue Belly delivered. Grateful and refreshed. 🌲🌲

Wonderful cabin stay
Eliah's cabin is a very beautiful place - in the morning we were visited by hares and deer, who walked through their property. It also has all the modern conveniences you would look for, and even a swamp cooler which was very valuable given the very hot weather. It's a short distance from Lassen Park and the Caribou Wilderness, and Eliah and her husband were perfect hosts. Thank you!

We had to make a quick detour from tent camping to a cabin based on weather in Lassen. Eliah was super accommodating and we had a great time at the cabin. It’s about 45 minutes to the north entrance of Lassen from this location and the fire pit made for a great evening hang.

We had a great time at Eliah's cabin, which had everything we needed for a weekend base to explore Lassen National Park, from being able to shower and sleep in a comfy bed, to making full group meals — the kitchen is really well stocked and organized for such a small footprint! Eliah is an extremely responsive and helpful host, and we felt lucky to be able to experience their property, especially the outdoor areas where we could relax and watch the deer and wildlife meander through.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was fully stocked and has most everything you need for a comfortable, peaceful stay. We were pleased to find a kitchen that had the essentials, enough bedding, even games to pass time.
Due to the wild fire we were not sure what would be the situation like over there. It turned out fine. Eliah was very communicative during this time and updated us on the conditions there. We were happy that we didn't cancel

Relaxing cabin in the country!
We had a great time at the Cabin! It was in a secluded area, so lots of privacy. We watched the jackrabbits and deer out the window, and our dog loved it too! The cabin was well located to see the natural attractions of the area.

Wonderful time at Blue Belly Cabin!
My daughter (12) and I had a wonderful stay at Blue Belly Cabin. Eliah was incredibly responsive and helpful both before and during our visit. The cabin is very well set up with lots of lovely touches and amenities. It had everything we needed (and more!). We spent time each day in Lassen Volcanic National Park, a pretty 40-minute drive from the cabin to the northwest entrance. This was a great alternative to camping for us, especially since we ended up there during a heat wave!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Blue Belly Cabin! The cabin is stocked full of anything you may have forgotten. We loved exploring the property and seeing the wildlife. There are many day trips nearby and we had a different little adventure each day. The hosts were amazing!
We had hot days during our stay but the swamp cooler kept the cabin very comfortable. Outside there was a gentle breeze which kept it cool enough to still cook outside.
On our last day, my kids asked when we can come back. We will return for another visit! Thank you Eliah and Richard for sharing your cabin!

Comfortable, clean?
Very comfortable and relaxing, in a gorgeous setting. The cabin is fully stocked with everything a person could ever need, and is extremely clean on arrival. The outdoor seating area is equally comfortable, and is appointed with a fantastic gas barbecue. And Eliah and Richard are the perfect hosts - extremely friendly and responsive, while ensuring you get the solitude and quiet you came here for.

Great stay
This cabin was great for what my family was looking for--plenty large to accommodate all of us, comfortable bed, and quiet location accessible to Lassen National Park. There were plenty of towels, blankets, etc. and the kitchen was well stocked. (Even including things like salt, which I had completely spaced and forgotten to pack, but which certainly made our meals tastier :) Kids loved the board games and roasting marshmallows, even though it was 90 degrees outside.

A wonderful stay: Blue Belly Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Belly Cabin. It was my spring break week. The weather was perfect, we could bring our dog and enjoy the beautiful environment at the cabin. It is so easy to find places to fish and hike within driving distance. In the evenings we cooked and sat outside under the stars in front of the fire pit.
We were super comfortable in the house. The bed was cozy; ktichen had everything we needed.
Thank you so much Eliah and Richard for making Blue Belly Cabin such an inviting home away from home. We'll be back!

Peaceful, Comfy, Rejuvenating
Where do I start when everything was such a pleasant experience? Driving onto the property you are led to this beautiful cottage. Patio outdoors with a hammock really gives it that welcoming feel and is instant permission for you to relax. I arrived at night, which can be a bit scary when you are in the middle of nowhere with out cell service (I have t mobile), but they did an excellent job at hanging motion sensors all around the home making the transition inside seamless. It also was helpful when you heard a spooky noise knowing that if the lights weren't on, it was a small animal or the wind LOL. When I opened the door, I felt instantly at home. From blankets already folded and laid out for cozy couch time, to tea and mugs readily available on the table. They even had condiments in the fridge, whaaaat! The artsy table and feel of the place made it easy to get creative and tap into my artistic side. It also didn't make me feel uptight. The bathroom was stocked with toiletries in case you forgot your own and towels. The water pressure was perfect and the water got nice and hot. Now to the bed... I am actually sad I couldn't just take it with me. It was super comfy and even had heated sheets! The blankets felt like I was sleeping in a warm cloud. I almost wanted to just stay in bed all day but it's located near to much to not go an explore what's out there, including the property itself! A beautiful property, that has a trail that strolls down to a nice creek. Sunshine on your face you can look at the panoramic views of the mountains in the distance. Also when leaving the property, you can see the snowy peak of Mount Eddy. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but there is a small town near by. Also, other stores and such are only about 30 minutes out. It's about an hour to Shasta lake, an hour and a half to Mount Shasta, thirty minutes to Lassen National Forest and an hour to the Southeast entrance of Lassen National Volcanic Park! We checked out both the lake and Lassen, was not disappointed. Also, during the winter months, Lassen is only 10 dollars to get in. Hospitality was everything! Eliah ensured a contactless entry. The next day I got to have a lovely conversation with Eliah and Dick outside (but distanced) as their home is just a hop behind the cottage. They were so welcoming and easy to conversate with. Down to earth people that you feel like you have been friends with already. Eliah is the sweetest! The second night, winds were kicking up, but my friend and I heard noises that seemed unusual despite the wind. I called Eliah at 1 am (so sorry again! *Hugs*) to figure out what we would do if something were wrong, or if someone would be there. She not only answered but comforted me. Reassuring we are safe and that we were the only ones there. She was not rude at all and I am so grateful for her patience with me. Although, I would not suggest everyone do that because she deserves her sleep lol. Lastly, let me talk about the Wood stove. It was perfect to heat the whole place and offered a nice campfire smell, and soothing ambience to our evenings. If fires aren't your thing, there is also a space heater available.

A slice of heaven up in the country
Oh my.... where to start? That area is beautiful country. The Watsons cabin is smack in the middle of all this beauty. Mt. Lassen is 30 minutes away, we could only see/walk a fraction of it cause there's already so much snow. We must go back during spring/summer. Red Bluff, Redding, and a ton of tiny towns are nearby. A few local wineries are within walking distance. The cabin is nothing too fancy, but very quaint, cozy and clean. Equipped with everything we needed and there's tons of property to set tents if needed. Richard and Eliah are wonderful hosts... making sure we had anything we needed at the ready, but offering the utmost privacy. We're already planning on coming back.... so much to explore! Thank you Watsons, for letting us share your slice of heaven!

Cozy Cabin and Beautiful Nature!
We had an absolutely fabulous time here! The property was beautiful and we enjoyed the exploring with our pup Maggie! There was amazing wildlife including a family of deer as well as some wild turkeys! And the sunsets were stunning. After a brisk walk it was lovey to be able to come back and warm up beside the wood burning stove. Thank you for offering such a cozy and relaxing place to unwind. I hope to be back again someday!

My family and I stayed comfortably at Eliah’s home. Due to several complications, we were unable to stay during our original set dates but Eliah was incredibly understanding and accommodating to plan our trip for a later date. Once we arrived at the property, Eliah met us and explained to us how she equipped the cabin for our stay. She provided plenty of drinking water, potable water in the bathroom, and the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, cooking tools and eating utensils. The bed and the couch were both comfortable and there was plenty of blankets and pillows to sleep. The cabin was quite clean as well. The property was beautiful with lots of birds, rabbits, and we even saw a family of deer outside of the home. We particularly enjoyed laying in the hammock under two trees. There are many wineries in the town although we only visited one, which was beautiful and the owner was friendly and quite funny. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Eliah’s cabin and the town of Manton. We especially appreciate Eliah because she was very kind and accommodating and clearly cared to make our trip as pleasant as possible

The site has a great proximity to Lassen Park. It was also nice that the hosts had the swamp cooler on before we arrived as the outside temperatures were at or above 100 degrees. The house was clean and orderly.
