River Bends Terraces is a communal camp ground beside an upstream section of the Mangawhitikau River as it flows through a deep limestone ravine and old Totara and Matai forest, it is situated in open space allowing access to stunning views of the surrounding rock formations, river features, bush and grass land. All visitors must had a self contained vehicle. There is a 2 wheel drive capable road all the way to the site or you can park nearby on the farm and walk the rest of the way down. This place is something that has to be seen to be believed.

The site comes equipped with own outhouse and composting toilet, drinking water is supplied on-site and is available all year round. No electricity on site as yet. There is a 2WD capable road all the way to the site or you can park nearby on the farm and walk the rest of the way down. A walk up the limestone ravine is possible with a guide. Cameras are a must for this site, it is something that has to be seen to be believed.
