Description

Tucked away on the eastern end of the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Big Bayhorse Campground is an off-the-grid spot that proves a hidden treasure for truly dedicated outdoors folk. Making the 56-mile journey from the nearest town (Stanely, Idaho), you’ll be rewarded by sweeping vistas of the mountains, tons of hiking and ATV trails, and a plethora of fishing and boating opportunities in the nearby Bayshore Lake and various streams. Trailers and RVs are always welcomed, but be warned that the steep and narrow dirt road needed to reach this isolated spot may not be ideal for some.
