Description

If you want to be transported to another world for a weekend, you’ve got to come check out the campgrounds at Beauty Creek near Idaho’s gorgeous Lake Coeur d’Alene. In the lush grassy valley between the Cascade and Bitterroot Mountains, these 20 RV and tent sites are the perfect spot to rest your head in between days of hiking the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, which includes an easy loop to Beauty Creek Overlook or a longer trek to Mt. Coeur d’Alene Viewpoint. You might also be tired from fishing for pike, salmon, and bass in the lake and streams (the nearest boat ramp is at Mineral Ridge, less than a mile from the grounds). Whether you stay in the valley or venture into town for thrilling para-sailing or sea-planing opportunities, you’ll feel like you’ve fallen down a rabbit hole at this magical, other-worldly Idaho destination!

No Creek - all dried up. Bathrooms had maggots and the worst I have ever seen. There are people living in tents during the summer, which then does not allow you to sit by the fire and talk after 9pm. The camper who lives at the camp site also likes to sun bath in the nude. Not a great place to take children! Camp host Rick seemed nice at first, until he came to our site and screamed at us for talking. We were extremely quite, yet he called us names. We told him he crossed the line with us by yelling in front of our children. Thankfully he called the Sheriff. After speaking with the Sheriff, we were told we did nothing wrong and he was going to have a talk with Rick. I will never go back there.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SURROUNDINGS! Lake Coeur d'Alene is amazing. The campground itself is very open and grassy. No privacy whatsoever.
