Description

If you like your activities year-round, the Montpelier area is the place for you. The Egan Basin Guard Station is a great place to camp in the rugged backcountry, located in a meadow full of summertime wildflowers among mixed conifers and aspens. Near the Utah border in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, enjoy a wide range of summertime activities and be prepared to snowmobile to the cabin in the snowy winter months. The cabin sits up at 7,500 feet and enjoys views of the limestone and dolomite peaks of the Bear River Mountains. Keep an eye out for deer, elk, moose, pikas, marmots, and even beavers!
