Description

If you’re working on the next great American novel, give Stolle Meadows Guard Station, a single room dwelling in a mountain meadow a look-see. But even if you’re not here on a writer’s retreat, it’s still a great place to relax. There’s even a nearby hot springs and salmon viewing area. Inside the station, there are four beds, everything you need to cook and drinking water from the hand pump outside. Just pack bedding, garbage bags and any lighting you require. The cabin is open year-round, but getting there may require a 6.5 mile ski or snowmobile trek in the winter months. For a closer look at the cabin, watch this short video from the US Forest Service.
