An added bonus is the well stocked Village Stores nearby (Pixie Dell Stores) and it's also an easy stroll into Braunton with its many excellent Restaurants and shops - including of course the famous Squires Fish and Chip Shop! Pizza is also available delivered on slte.
Saunton and Croyde Beaches are just down the road and it's an ideal location to explore Braunton Burrows, Crow Point and The Great Field.

We arrived in the rain, but the campsite owners couldn’t do anything about that. After a very peaceful night sleep (aside from the rain dripping on the tent!) we awoke to a fresh new day. The site is spacious (and when we were there quiet), the gardens are beautiful, with lots of little nooks to sit and read or eat your meals. There is a cabin with sofas/TV/WiFi and two sinks, ample fridge space and free tea and coffee. It’s clean, and people were respectful of distance. There are several toilets and showers, we never had to queue and everything is as you would dream it to be. The area is beautiful, and we enjoyed some lovely walks. I’d highly recommend this campsite and will try to get back there again in the future!
Secret Spot is a lovely campsite, which is kept very clean and tidy. We loved the reception hut with fridges, freezers, kettle, toaster, wi-fi, breakfast table and sofa. It was great to able to put our waste into recycling bins too. The nearest beach is a Saunton Sands, a short drive away, which our children loved. We highly recommend this campsite and would go back again!
Really enjoyed our stay over the bank holiday weekend. The site was still reasonably quiet which meant we could always use the great facilities. The pitches are flat which is always a must when camping but we noticed alot of other campsites in the area are on hills. The communal area was so helpful having fridges and freezers kettle microwave and toaster meant it was more like luxury camping. The gardens really are beautiful and made the whole site feel relaxed and tranquil. We would definitely return if we come to the area again. Many thanks to Steve and Jo
Our first camping experience in 16 years and came with friends who raves about it. Showers, loos and washing up facilities all clean. Basic grass pitch and a drive to access beaches etc. Would be ideal if could walk to a beach but lovely views and would recommend. Our 5 year old enjoyed being able to play with other children and the field was small so we could always see him.
Lovely and quiet despite school holidays. Lots of space for everyone. Useful kettle, fridges and freezers plus very clean kitchen area, toilets and showers. Friendly and helpful owners Steve and Jo.
The site is beautifully maintained and well kept, the owners certainly ensure that facilities and grounds are kept immaculate. Facilities are good.
The camping fields are all very level, plenty of space to set up and spread out. You’re given a quick tour of the site and places to fields when you arrive so you can make a good choice.
Its located in a very quite spot but with easy reach of the nearby town with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants handy (walking distance, about a mile away) plus bust stops about 8 mins walk to get to Saunton beach, Croyde or further afield if you didn't fancy driving. The closest beach is about 10 mins drive/bus ride away and is huge.
After a busy day exploring this is the perfect site to rest and chill out, and if you have kids they have plenty of space to make friends and burn off any energy they might have. (The owners recommended one of the fields as being more ‘family’, so expect other fields are even quieter if you don't have kiddies).
Would recommend.
We have just returned from this spotless campsite, beautifully clean, friendly, and with lots of little extras which make all the difference. Highly recommended thank you!
Not being an avid camper, we booked this on the basis of the extra facilities that were on offer at this site. I wasn't disappointed!! The whole site is beautifully cared for and the owners seem to spend all their time making sure all areas are kept clean, tidy and as far as the Secret Garden area is concerned, Jo puts her heart and soul into making that a truly beautiful area.... the children absolutely loved it (and I trust that they didn't do any damage to any of the beautiful plants). Truly both Steve and Jo were so friendly and really couldn't do enough for you to make our stay a pleasant one. We will definitely be booking again, if we are lucky enough to be able to get in with them!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at Secret Spot Camping. The site was just beautiful and so incredibly well maintained. Spotlessly clean (seriously Steve deserves a medal for his cleaning!). Plentiful fridges and freezers and the all important charge points for the kids were all easily accessible in the chill out room. Local knowledge from the hosts was fab and we had a great walk through the dunes to Saunton Sands (and exhilarating boarding down the massive dune!) thanks to Steve. Hot showers were always available when needed. And did I mention how CLEAN everything was!?!? We’d definitely stay again. Thanks so much Steve and Jo!
