First Creek Camping
Bring alcohol
I was honestly upset when I arrived. I spent $275 to sleep next to the road. I should've read reviews instead of looking at pictures. The photos are mostly of the trails, few of the camp and if they would've turned the camera around to show you there's old stuff sitting around and a nice man who's homeless 30 feet from where you sleep. He minds his business but no one told us that I was paying $275 to sleep on the side of the road about a mile from a homeless encampment and right next to a man who camps/ lives there year round. Although after I got upset, I bought some liquor at the Safeway in Cle Elum and they are certainly lucky for alcohol because I was able to relax after that. The owner was nice and came over. She was kind so I chose not to tell her how pissed off I was at arrival. I had a few drinks by then. We ended up making the most of it anyway. I had payed already and drove 2 hours to get there. I would never have paid that much to stay there but oh well. I know better for next time. Also someone could have mentioned the porta potty cleaner comes bright and Early and so don't park near it. They give you .5 seconds to move your car. I wouldn't have parked there but was trying to block the man from seeing directly into our camp for privacy since we have kids. This was for my daughter's birthday and I went from irate on arrival to crying to anembriated but better. If you camp here... Bring liquor... You'll need it!

🤘🏻
We personally had so much fun staying at First Creek and plan to stay again. We essentially just slept / relaxed / shopped at the rock shop while at the camp site and ventured off on our own adventures nearby. [A few things I have to say that were not our favorites… ] - This site is DIRECTLY next to the road. Lights were shining into our tents all night long. - The camp spots themselves were super close to each other. While we had an amazing spot by the creek, our neighbors were very close and not thrilled with us when we were still up around the fire at 10pm… we all hadn’t seen one another in a while and wanted to visit but felt guilty and hit the hay anyway. A few things that were our favorites… - Phenomenal spot for rock hounds. The hike up to find the blue agates was such an amazing experience. - Loveeeeeeeed the rock shop & the owners / hosts were so sweet and helpful!!! - Sleeping by a creek helped me sleep like a baby all night long and drowned out the car sounds from the road nearby. - It’s very close to hikes and great spots that aren’t far of a drive.

Hosts were awesome. Port a potty was immaculate and had a night light! The river spot was wonderful as it really drowned out the noise of the road. That's the only drawback. However, as i said...the river was great.

Nice little campground
This was a nice little campsite. Felt like we had enough privacy and our camp site backed to a little creek. Campsite was clean and nice people running the campground
