We are a working farm raising sheep, alpacas and goats for fiber. We process our fiber on-site into roving, rug yarn and felted sheets. We also have finished goods available for sale. We do classes for soap making and various fiber art classes like making scarves. We are located 7 miles from Kanaskat State Park with hiking trails, kayaking and fishing. We are also 41 miles from Mt. Rainier. We are a working farm with 7 acres of pasture full of our sheep, alpaca and goats. Beautiful views of the Cascade Foothills and Mt. Rainier. We have a large bald eagle population in our area and you can frequently see them in our trees. We are 45 miles from Mt. Rainier which has great hiking trails. We offer classes in soap making, felted soap making and dry felting with the fiber produced on our farm.

Blue Mist Farm RV or Tent Camping
Camp on a farm? Yes!
10/10 recommend! We camped next to the owner’s home (side yard with plants to decrease view of house) and had power & water. We were close enough to hear the animals; sheep, goats, alpaca, mini/dwarf cows, chickens, ducks (muscovy & mallard) & an occasional ‘visiting’ eagle. You can face the farm so you are ‘all in.’ It was clean, and did not smell, except for the occasional scent from the cow farms next door (depending on the wind, haha). You can tell the owners care about the animals and farming wisely. Shawn had so much information to share with us and we felt very welcome to participate as much or as little as we wanted. It was like the best adult petting zoo! The animals gathered around Shawn, you could tell they respected and felt safe around him and he cares for them in return. This experience was so good for the soul. Highly recommend.

Beth and Shawn were outstanding hosts! Loved the tour of the farm and meeting all the animals! Best feedback is that my 10 year old granddaughter asked if we can come back again sometime!

Wonderful experience for the family
The area was amazing! Quiet, fantastic view of mountain ranges and Rainier, beautiful sounds of farm animals! Beth was so very kind to our two little children. We got to meet, greet, pet and learn about all the lovely farm animals especially the alpacas! A rooster waking us up and to see alpaca, goat and sheep faces staring at us through a fence was such a happy and fun experience for the family! The dwarf cows were a bonus! So stinking cute! Beth and her husband made us feel right at home. I would definitely recommend for those who adore animals and the outdoors. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Beth and husband for such hospitality.

For the love of the animals!
We spent 3 nights on Beth's farm, using it as a basecamp for day trips to Rainier. Since we were spending a few nights, Beth had us park in the side yard which gave us a great view of the sheep, ducks, chickens, goats, alpacas and our favorites, Phil the cow and Shadow the cat. These folks care so much about their animals, know what they are doing, and will gladly show you around. The animals are super sweet -they love the attention- and Beth and family are just as lovely. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was fun to hang out with the animals after a long day.

Very helpful via messages
We didn’t actually make it to the campsite but Mrs. Beth, the host, was very helpful via messaging. She was quite accommodating and willing to stay up later to greet us after I notified her we were running late and ragged. I would be very willing to try again next time. First time using Hipcamp, next time I will be sure to have the address, map and instructions available offline.

Lovely farm country
We enjoyed our stay at Beth's farm! We enjoyed the view through the trees of Mt. Rainier and misty mornings over the fields. Communication was easy, we felt safe and comfortable with the location. Short drive to Enumclaw, various lakes and State Parks kept us busy. We also appreciate the tour of the farm for our family, it was a very memorable experience!
