Welcome 2024 and our 5th season! Our 7 1/2 acre farm is nestled along a country road and between several other farms, mostly horses and a special needs/therapy farm, we are hobby farmers/homesteaders. We have three sites open at anytime, during camping season (May thru October) its all three tent camping sites but after that closes down for the season (November 1st) we open up for camper vans and small trailers (also in early Spring). If there is any question please ask, we can modify the schedule but are only able to accommodate three sites at any given time. Thanks! The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, Guilford is by no means considered a large community. Yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouses, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. These buildings are found in what is considered the historic Guilford Center; shop for great local products at the Guilford Country Store, visit the charming Guilford Free Library, or even see some of the exhibits at the Guilford Historical Society Museum to learn more about the area and its history. Beyond the town center, venturing through the rest of Guilford will enable you to see the beautiful Vermont landscape of rolling hills and lush forests, with small family farms that have in some cases been in operation for generations. A visit to these farms will allow you to sample some of the best maple syrup, cheeses, and fresh produce in the area. Of course, being in a place like Guilford that is known for its natural beauty means it is always easy to escape into the woods to hike, run, or mountain bike, and in the winter months there is great skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. A bit more off the beaten path are the many tucked away swimming holes, such as those along Broad Brook, which despite sometimes being hard to find are well worth the effort of searching for. In fact, the same could be said for the town of Guilford as a whole. With its feeling of peaceful seclusion and gorgeous setting, this small community really has the feel of being a well-kept secret, tucked away in its own corner of Vermont. The city of Brattleboro is a 10 minute drive away and offers many amenities similar to a city twice its size; arts, entertainment, dining and shopping plus many historical and outdoor activities await!

Site 3: Grassy Field Site
The location was easy to get to and I felt safe. I was using a rooftop tent mounted on a trailer. Site #3 is the best spot for a pull through location. The little barn shed made it nice to unload my storage containers and be covered in case it rained. I cooked up a nice dinner using his farms eggs. The hiking trails were great, the lookout was beautiful and I loved checking out the farm animals. He was very hospitable and friendly. All the extra thought about what people might need like coffee, games etc were in the rec room barn. Site three had a nice set of 2 tress that I could set up a lead for my dog. It also has sensor lights so you’re not completely in the dark. Just as a heads up, if you have a dog that barks at other barking dogs you’ll struggle. The neighbors house up on the hill had a vocal pup but luckily my dog is not bothered. This was a wonderful experience for me and I’d definitely go back.

Highly recommend!
Anthony was so lovely and helpful! Took us right up to our campsite in his ATV. Brought us firewood and let us stay in whatever location we choose as no other campers were there. The place was so well equipped and he really made us feel so at home. Thank you again!

Site 2 (Ridgeview)
My college roommates & I camped through Hipcamp for the first time this year and we absolutely loved it! Seriously cannot say enough positive things about Anthony and Maple Ridge Farm - the best, kindest, most helpful host and the most beautiful, private land for fall camping. When we got there, we were informed that the other groups had cancelled for the weekend so we got to choose which campsite we wanted. 1000% recommend the field site - it was so easy to walk to/carry our stuff to & from and the view was beautiful. We felt so safe and cared for here, thank you so much Anthony we'll be back next year!!

Beware of large group bookings!
Despite hundreds of positive reviews, unfortunately, we did not have an enjoyable experience at Maple Ridge. We stayed at Ridge View campsite. If you book this site, please note that it is not private. There is another campsite a few hundred feet away. Be sure to look closely at the maximum number of people allowed at each site. My big mistake was not paying attention to this. The site next to us allows 14 people to stay there!! Unlucky for us, we had a rowdy group of 9 people camp there. They partied until 2:30am. I would not have booked a site that allowed that many people to camp! They also took over the common area. We were met with glares when we tried to enter and play a few games when it was raining. Secondly, there is some road noise to be aware of if you want a more secluded experience. Lastly, the owner’s dog runs freely on the property. My dog and his dog did not get along. I was left in the woods for 25 minutes trying to lure the other dog away from my site and he just kept circling back. On our second night, we opted to sleep in my camper van to avoid all of this. Very unpleasant experience overall and honestly, a waste of money. The only positive was the kindness of the host, his generosity with free firewood and fresh eggs, and his willingness to bring our stuff up on his ATV!
