Thanks to all of you campers for my success, The Hideout is now totally electric. No more generator! Growing up I liked to camp and still do and I want to offer my land as a place for you to do the same. Accessibility is by bridge or make arrangements for your vehicle to be at the campsite. We have all the items you need for a successful camping experience. Throw your necessities in the back of the Kawasaki mule and enjoy a short ride to the hideout or drive to the campsite for a truly memorable campout. Geared towards camping with kids, you can take a short hike and see the grave of a Texas Ranger. Sit by a wood fire and enjoy smores. Swing in one of the two swings, play horseshoes, corn hole, and take a backroad trip and view local wildlife. For you fisherman, enjoy the newly stocked lake and catch some bass. Catch and release. Sit on the porch and rock in a rocker and read. Bogata Rodeo June 22-June 24. July 4, Talco 4th of July celebration. Big fireworks show. Much, much more.

Had a great couple of days , reconnecting with nature and just relaxing! The cabin was amazing so well equipped ,tons of firewood to keep the fire going. Can’t wait to return! Thanks John

Great little cabin

One of the best (glamping) cabins outside DFW. Heated by an amazing potbelly oven in winter with free firewood, our cabin was cozy enough we had to open the door. In the middle of woods on a small creek, the nearest neighbors were dead quiet. Fishing pond was 2 min walk through the woods and over the bridge, bring a real rod because those bass are hungry. A/C unit for summer, multiple cooking options, hot water, flushing toilet, and cell service just don’t tell the kids.

Wonderful glamping weekend!

Highly recommend. John and his wife are the nicest people! Beautiful property perfect for glamping. He also lets you burn all the wood you want! Our dogs loved getting to explore.

HIDEOUT ON FRANCIS CREEK

What a beautiful, secluded place to relax and enjoy nature. We loved both fire pits and the smores were the best. Tiki torches to light the path made for easy walking to the fire pit by the creek. A rope swing in the giant oak tree was enjoyed by the kids. The cabin was so clean and John and Larann made sure we had everything we needed. Coffee on the front porch while cooking pancakes and bacon on the Blackstone grill was a real treat. The outside shower was really refreshing with a seat to sit and even a pull-up bar. John doesn’t mind taking you on the backroad in his Kawasaki mule for some local scenery, even getting to meet Pizza, the pet (wild) deer at a neighbors house. We’re going back!!

This place is absolutely beautiful.. I will be back.. we enjoyed ever second of our girls weekend getaway. the host are so hospitable and made our weekend over the top amazing. I would highly recommend 100 out of 100...
