Back country primitive camp
Its a nice first back country camp. Pick your own camp spot. A little confusing getting to where you are supposed to be, a couple arrows or signs would help. Of course there are ticks but where in tn aren't there. Great quick feedback from the host. Lots of different things to explore if you like hiking without a trail. Camping area is rather clean. You will have to hike your gear in around 1/4 mile. Would recommend 👌 👍

Tender Grass Farms
A close location to Murfreesboro with a campground feel. Loved seeing the horses in the field. Would definitely stay again.

Tender Grass Farms
Magical barn
The place is amazing and quiet and there is a barn on the property at the edge of a meadow that is magical! The horses were a nice and unexpected treat too.
Great place! Amazing host!

Mixed Feelings
There are definetly pros and cons. Pros were that host responded to messages rapidly and was helpful. The site is private and has cellphone service. Host left water to douse the fire and give instructions on how to enter the site. The site allowed dogs, heads up though, there are horses. In case you friends are easily scared. Cons were that the site was covered in horse feces, pretty much everywhere. There werent clear indications or directions as to where the proper spot to set up camp once we passed the electric fence tape. We walked all throughout and the land seemed to keep going so we followed the trail back, closer to the entrance and chose whatever spot wasnt covered in poop. For us, The circumstances were fine since it was only a rest stop for us and we didnt have a lot of stuff. If you have children, heavy packers or are looking for something a little more pleasant. This may not be the first spot in your list.
