**Our camping sites vary in size and proximity to others. If you want to come with a group with several vehicles etc, please send a message rather than book separate sites. We will help find a site which suits your needs. We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

Site 3 - Creek Flat
Beautifully kept grounds, we were on the Flat Creek site, perfect for accessability to the road and toilet. The kids had a ball and loved exploring the abundant nature and creek. Our hosts were delightful and very helpful.

A private peaceful time in nature
An excellent camp site. Very private and able to have the dogs off leash in camp with us as the sites are far enough away from others. A short walk to a well maintained composting toilet. A lovely deep swimming hole to have a dip in too. Plenty of hiking tracks to explore is a bonus!

Site 1 - The Waterhole
Easy access to the waterhole. We needed 4wd access as the creek crossing was high due to the large amount of rain leading up to our trip. No phone reception. Fires allowed. There was a toilet but I don't know if that is all the time or just for the Easter weekend. David was super accomodating and helpful, provided a map so we could go for walks. Dog friendly, allowed off leash if they don't disturb the animals (we kept ours on leash most the time). Site was not overly private over Easter weekend which is to be expected. Could swim in the waterhole, water was cold/refreshing.

Easter Camping
Easter 2024, Brenda and David's property is wonderful. well maintained and quiet. There is plenty of land to explore, a beautiful creek to play in and best of all it is not crowded with campers. This is a true diamond hidden in the bush. We had a great time, the camp site was well maintained, toilets were very clean and conveniently located. We were supplied with a detailed walking map, and the trails were well defined, signed and easy to follow. Brenda and Davids property is easy to find and an easy drive from Brisbane. We will definitely be back to this wonderful piece of paradise.

Apple Tree Ridge
Awesome
Loved staying here! The views were beautiful, creek was full and crystal clear, and the toilets are well maintained and super clean - not smelly at all! Beautiful bush walks. Owners are lovely. Campsites are very private and spaced out, I never saw other campers unless I went to the creek for a swim. My first time using hipcamp, very happy. Will be back.

Dianella Ridge
Great place to to unwind
What a fantastic camp spot. Daniella Ridge is private and has a beautiful outlook. The site was well maintained and Pixie (our greyhound) loved the freedom of the open space. The toilet was clean and easily accessible. The site was private enough for us to set up our outdoor shower without the need for a shower tent. The stars and night sky are amazing!!!!! Plenty of wild life hopping around to keep us connected with where we are. There are plenty of walking tracks and the creek is a great spot to have happy hour!!!! Thank you Dave and Brenda. We will be back.
