Fred's Place

4 sites · Tents2 acres · Baddeck, NS
2.3 acres of woodlot at the end of the road. Very rustic. Ideal for campers and bicycle campers. Very few facilities but you can put up a tent and have a fire. It's super quiet and the only sound is the wind and the very occasional car (like one a day). Five minute walk to the ocean. 15 kms to the nearest store. I will be at my cabin but the property is large enuf for you to have total privacy if you want it. I can be reached by email at frederick.gardiner123abc@gmail.com. I'm located at the end of Richard's Pond Lane. To get here, go to South Side Road, South Side River Bourgeois. Turn right on Richard's Pond Lane and follow it to the end. Turn right, go to the first sign that says 7/8 and follow the path up to my cabin. There is red tuck tape to show the way. On the map, I am not The Cuffs, but the location is the same.

The Doctors Inn

1 site · Lodging1 acre · West Bay, NS
Perfect for people looking to rough it. excellent for hunting and fishing groups. The home has all the modern amenities such as electricity, running water, hot water, full bathroom (no shower just a tub), no washer or dryer, unlimited high speed wifi, one 42” smart TV with Netflix, Prime and Paramount streaming services in main living room. We have tried to keep the original look of the home so be aware that it is extremely original with cracked plaster and not considered to be a refined space like you would get at a hotel or vacation home. Guests looking for a more refined experience are encouraged not to book the property. Walk out dock for our guests to launch the kayaks from or to go swimming. The property is also located just five minutes away from the Dundee Golf Resort and is just one hour away from the world famous Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs golf resort. The property is ideal for a foursome or eight-some golf group looking to take in Cape Breton Golf. We want to stress that the property is rough and it should not be booked if your looking for perfectly clean polished look inside, it’s smells like an old house, and always looks like it’s dusty and dirty because of the all wood floors and keeping its original 150 year old interior. Our linens / towels / face cloths / dish clothes are fresh and clean with every stay.

The Lobster Boat Inn

1 site · Lodging3 acres · Antigonish, NS
The Lobster Boat Inn is located on a hill in the woods in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. It sits high and dry with no water in sight. Thus the serial number: NOMOH2O as it will never float again. Our motto is Off the Grid, Off the Water and Off the Beaten Path! The original boat was built in 1995, and when found was in need of some tender-loving care. It was renovated in 2022/23 to provide visitors with a rustic, unique, "glamping" experience. It is filled with lobster-themed items that will send you on an imaginary lobster pot-pulling adventure. Cook on the back deck as you drink in nature, then eat in an original ship's wheelhouse. Our amenities include: comfy beds, fresh drinking-water, refrigerator, interior and exterior bathroom facilities, with a hot shower. If you like, try the lobster eggs for breakfast! Off the property you will find near by: auto race watching, hiking, biking and shopping activities. Downtown Antigonish is but a ten minute drive. The famous Highland Games comes in July along with the Lobster Festival in New Glasgow. Sure, you can sit inside and watch one of the many DVD movies, but why not explore nature, take a walk through the woods, talk to your wife, play with the kids, or throw a ball for your dog? If you want to relax, maybe a visit to one of our 19 Antigonish-area beaches might tickle your fancy. Do you want to golf, mountain bike, fish, visit a lighthouse or a petting farm? We have that too! Take a drive on our new 4-lane Hwy 104 and you'll be blown away at how beautiful asphalt can be. Wide-open highways make for smooth, fast, travel to places like The Cabot Trail or the ferry to PEI. Both are within an hour's drive. Stargazing is wondrous through our dark, clear skies. If you're lucky, you might even spot the Space Station passing by, as you sit at the fire-pit roasting marshmallows after a long day of fun.
