Byron Bay hinterland campground. Self check in- just follow the instructions. Check out us on Instagram @glencairnestate We just opened a coffee trailer at the entrance of the property - serving premium Barefoot brew (local coffee roaster) coffee every morning 6am to 1 pm and wood fire pizza every Wednesday 4pm to 8pm:) Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road, with gentle hills around and magical views. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. Incredible privacy and quiet. There are few goats roaming around the property, and a horse paddock with a couple of horses nearby. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land :) We have 10 different sites, 6 for caravan / RVs and 4 for tents only in two different spots of the property - for a total of 20 guests max. PLEASE make sure to pack out your garbage. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland, or go for a dip in the big waterhole. Please note - for now the property is for fully contained campers only (no toilets on site). We do have a water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials.

Site 5 - self contained RVs
Property was beautiful. The first set of sites are easy to access but a bit basic. Continue on down the semi off-road track towards the next set of sites and it is beautiful under the trees. Billabong down the back with a noice walking trail to it. Enjoyed the stay overall.

Good location with nice country feel, however lack of signage and quite a bit of rubbish left around.

We’re do I start!!! Couldn’t find the site as the grass was up to my shins. The site number was hidden in the long grass. The sites were close together, why, when there is a large amount of land?

Site 10 -tents only (with car)
The site was almost abandoned with minimum care being taken to tidy the site. Grass needed to be trimmed, chunk hazardous objects were everywhere on site, the camp's name on the entrance was confusing, the location was misleading and Finally, the host was not responding to our calls and messages. Overall, it's overpriced!
