Yerrinbool is 1 hour from Sydney and a great spot to spend a weekend away, 15 mins from Bowral and 10 mins to Mittagong There are animals on the farm including ducks, chickens, goats, sheep and sometimes even baby cows. The property does need a little clean up but the rear of the property is nice and tranquil. We are directly next to the HWY so sometimes there is road noise, but it's a great location for an easy stopover. Easy access for caravans, keeping in mind the weather as like in all areas it becomes soft when wet. Please note, while we do permit more than one car per site booking, we only allow 1 caravan per site. So if you are in a group with more than 1 caravan, you will need to book multiple sites. Any questions, please let us know. We have Fire Pits in key locations around the farm PLEASE DO NOT move them as they signify each spot for camping. They have allocated spots and we do not need them moved. We also have a toilet in a small cabin close to the house for people who are using tents and water if you're required to fill your tanks or rinse off. We have two dams with yabbies you are welcome to collect. If you do collect some please be respectful in the amounts you collect and also throw some raw meat and or frozen veggies like peas and corn into the dam to provide food for the others to grow. ***APRIL 2024*** We have had a recent flood... Campsites that are available are high and dry and were not effected by flood water. River access on foot is still available although adjacent to river campsites are not available. Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and private access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip with a beverage or two. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Long weekend 2 night minimum) If you'd like to book the whole property Contact the host for special rates and any questions and to check availability. Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available for use or you're welcome to bring your own subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and one awesome hot water shower! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. We have a local guide that may be available to take you on guided walks so you can truly experience the valley at its best without the worry of knowing where to go. Get in touch with the host to arrange a walk. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. Camp Medlow is located in Medlow Bath in the upper Blue Mountains, and is just 800m from Medlow Bath railway station, and only 8 minutes drive to Katoomba or 5 minutes drive to Blackheath - so is conveniently located close to all the key attractions, like Scenic World, the Grand Canyon, the Three Sisters, plus all the amazing tracks, trails, bushwalks, and abseiling and climbing locations that the upper Mountains is famous for. You can pitch up to two tents on the level and very secluded campsite where you'll have complete privacy in a fantastic bushland setting, which backs directly onto Blue Mountains National Park. The campsite is directly in the centre of 3 acres of natural open forest comprising many old and tall Blue Mountains Ash eucalyptus trees (Eucalyptus oreades), Banksias, Waratahs, and Wattle. The property is also home to Gang-gang and black Cockatoos, parrots, owls, magpies, spotted-tailed Quolls, possums, Eastern bent-wing bats, and wallabies. Camp Medlow is for TENTS ONLY. Camper vans, caravans, and car rooftop tents are NOT permitted. This is because you can't get your car/van to the actual campsite where you pitch your tents. It's just a 50m flat walk along the rustic trail to the campsite from the car park - so you'll need to carry your gear to where you'll set up your tents. There is designated parking for two cars (not camper vans, caravans, or rooftop tents) on the Beaufort Street (dirt road) side of the property. The level campsite is placed next to a rocky outcrop that features a traditional camp fire circle and is shaded by a big old Ash tree. We ask that if you choose to have a campfire, then please only use the existing camp fire circle so as to protect the property, the flora, fauna, and minimise the impact to the environment in general. Important fire safety - Remember, fires are not permitted during total fire bans days, so check the current restrictions before you light up. We also would request that you bring your own firewood, and do not use firewood from the property, as fallen branches and logs can be homes for native animals and critters - and we don't want to impact them. We also ask that before you go to sleep at night, and when you leave the property, that you have fully extinguished the fire with water - do not leave the fire smouldering. Our community in the upper Blue Mountains is regularly impacted by bushfire, and our neighbours and friends have lost their homes - and everything - during these fires, so please be vigilant and responsible with any open fire. There is no water available at the property, so please bring your own - both for drinking, cooking, and to extinguish the campfire. There are no toilets on the property so you must bring your own camp toilet that you take with you when you leave. Do not dispose your human waste on the property. The Grand Canyon Walking Track, which is in Blackheath, is 10 mins up the road from the campsite and Blue Mountains National Park is right at your tent's doorstep. No pets please.

Firstly, a big thankyou for all of the positive reviews. They have just contributed to Grass Tree Campground being awarded 3rd place in NSW for Hipcamp venues. It is great to get the feedback that campers appreciate this for what it is, a simple little Primitive Campground with generous spacing for each group to enjoy their own camping experience. The Grass Tree Bush Camp is conveniently located just 2.5km north of Katoomba town center, so you can easily take advantage of all the upper mountain attractions in this amazing ‘World Heritage’ listed area. If we are booked out, we do have a couple of overflow sites that might suit your rig, so please reach out and we will see if we can help out. If you are planning on having a fire, please do not remove firewood from the surrounding bushland. As you can imagine, if campers did that, the atmosphere of the campground would quickly deteriorate. Please plan to bring some from home, purchase some from the local service stations ($18 for 15kg), or alternatively, we can drop a 25+kg crate of mixed hardwood at your site for $20. If the later suits, just let me know. However, it is ok to collect small amount of kindling to start your fire. Fires are restricted to existing fire pits to minimize scars on the ground. If you prefer to bring your own fire pit we ask that you leave no trace. Fires are only permitted when there are no RFS bans in place, we will communicate directly with you, in advance, if there are any upcoming 'Extreme' or 'Catastrophic' fire day warnings from the RFS. Please be extra vigilant around this as our community is only just recovering after the devastating recent fires. Fires are to be modest and discrete. Out of respect for our neighbors and other campers, please do not use a chainsaw at the campground. Please do not leave rubbish in your fire pit. Things like cigarette butts, cans, beer caps and food scraps need to be taken with you. We pride ourselves with keeping the sites as pristine as possible and ask that you follow our 'leave no trace' policy. Note: there is no water on the property so you will need to allow enough to ensure you have completely extinguished your fire before you depart. The logs at each site define site area, please do not drive through the grass clearing. Site numbers are on trees. Unless previously discussed, you are required to camp on the site you book and will be asked to move if you set up on another site. All traffic is to drive clockwise around ring road. The site numbers correspond with this direction of travel. The campground is tranquil and has a large open, flat grassy clearing in the middle for family games. The secluded clearing is boarded by a Woodland forest with stunning flora like Waratahs, Xanthorrhoea's (Grass Trees), Orchids and Banksias. The property is home to many beautiful species of fauna like Gang-gang Cockatoo's, Eastern Rosella's and the cheeky iconic Magpie which will warble a warm welcome. The grassy clearing is occasionally frequented by Kangaroos at dawn and dusk. Just a stones throw from the property you have easy access to world class lookouts and bush walks. If you are into climbing, canyoning, trekking, trail running, cafes, restaurants or walking along breath taking National Park trails, then you will love visiting our area. If you are unfamiliar with the area, we recommend visiting the Information Centre at Echo Point to get all the information you need for your intended activities. This camp is perfect for groups/families wanting to have a campfire, a bit of space from other campers and to have room for the kids to run around and kick a ball. There is a composting toilet on-site with toilet paper and Hand Sanitizer supplied. When you visit the toilet, after you have finished, please place 1 cup of Sawdust into the toilet after a wee, and 2 cups after a Number Two. This bulkage is a significant element to the success of the composting process. If you use the last of the paper on a toilet roll, the cardboard roll can be thrown into the toilet as well to be composted. If you think anything is not how it should be with the composting Toilet, please reach out and we will come and take a look. Well behaved pets are welcome and we encourage you to keep your dog on a lead if they are likely to adventure too far from your site and disturb the local wildlife or other campers. If you are interested in a longer free stay and are open to a trade for a small amount of labor each day, please reach out. There is always lots of things we need to get done, but don't always have the time. Acknowledgement of Country: Our property is located within the Country of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples. My family recognises that Dharug and Gundungurra Traditional Owners have a continuous and deep connection to their Country and that this is of great cultural significance to Aboriginal people, both locally and in the region. Canoelands Valley Camping is an easy-to-access camping area with magnificent views through the National Park Valley. With only two allocated camping/van zones enjoy the privacy and access to walk around the 40 acres. Located 1.15 hrs from Sydney CBD this is an ideal place for a quick weekend getaway for keen hikers, mountain bikers and nature enthusiasts. Surrounded by the Marramarra National Park you have a short drive to access the Canoelands Ridge Trail (17kms), Duckponds Ridge Trail, Marrarra Ridge to Smugglers Point Ridge Trail. Enjoy a tour at the Canoelands Orchard, a short drive to dine at Wiseman Ferry, and only 11 minutes from the local Woolworths. Your camping/van area is supplied with red/yellow bins, and camping toilet is provided. Dogs allowed but please let me know first. They will need to be unleash all the time and well behaved. Please pick up after them and also they must be vaccinated. A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise byo. Beautiful spot to relax, with loads of wildlife and bird watching. Please use bins supplied and leave no trace. * There are 4 allocated camp sites. Two are easy(2WD & Vans/trailers) access and have the direct view through the valley. Two require high wheel clearance vehicles (just small hill to drive up with some rocks), these are more private sites(cannot see the other campers) still with lovely views. **Now offering access on weekdays but ONLY Site 1 & 2 (weekend access to Sites 1-4)

NSW Ski Gardens is situated on the banks of the Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry. Every October - April is our peak time and its busy! Please be aware there is river noise during our busy times on weekends so may not suit those looking for tranquillity on weekends. During the week it's fine but weekends are busy and a bit noisy. We are 1.2 km from the township along the River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Amenities include hot showers, laundry, on-site kiosk and boat ramp (fee applicable). BBQ and covered picnic area. Dogs are welcome on leash. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.

We live on 12 acres (6 useable acres as the rest is creek and cliff face). The backdrop is trees and cliff face and on the otherside is the train tracks. It's important that you are aware that the train line is active both day and less frequent at night but there is some nice associated with that. During your stay you are welcome use the toilet block with a proper toilet. In the available paddock there is shade from trees as well as a home made fire pitt in the cooler months.

'The Refinery' at Hartley Vale

Built on the site of the old Hartley Vale oil shale works that closed in 1916, 'The Refinery" was re-established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.
