Come to our six-acre property on a wooded hillside. There is plenty to explore here and nearby. Hike up the hill to the peak for great views. Paddleboard or kayak nearby in Upper Range Pond. Go for a swim or hike nearby at Range Pond State Park or Tripp Pond. If you are interested in more excitement Portland is only 30 minutes away! We are currently working to develop the property with gardens, trails, and small livestock. Please be aware when you visit that this is a working property and we may be tending to the property as needed. This may include early hours, small equipment, and children and animal noise. The property also has a very steep driveway that you will need to drive up to access parking.Experience bus life by staying in a 40' converted school bus. Live To Wander Bus has all you need to have a comfortable off-grid getaway. If these bus walls could talk they would tell you about its adventures all over the USA. Live To Wander Bus is located on six acres in Poland, Maine. We are conveniently located to many state parks, lakes, and a lot of outdoor recreation. The property is easy to access with any vehicle. We are 420-friendly so be sure to visit Hi-Lo Dispensary which is only a 15-minute drive or check out many more recreational dispensaries in Portland, only 30 minutes away. Portland is only a 30-minute drive. We are currently working to develop the property with gardens, trails, and small livestock. Please be aware when you visit that this is a working property and we may be tending to the property as needed. This may include early hours, small equipment, and children and animal noise. For Hipcampers staying on the bus in the early spring and fall please be aware that the bus is not heated but has plenty of blankets.

Live To Wander Bus

NEED 4 WHEEL DRIVE

So I booked this place and when I got there the driveway was gravel and too steep to drive up. It had apparently been damaged in recent rainstorms and hadnt been fixed yet. No warning about needing 4 wheel drive was given. The host didnt have a safe place for me to park since my car couldnt go up the driveway and didnt offer any other solutions, so I was unable to stay there. I had to get a hotel at the last minute after being in the car for 15 hours. Then the host only offered a refund for one night! I was still charged for the second night AND THE CLEANING FEE, even though I never even opened the door to the bus.

Live To Wander Bus

Wander Bus Love

This bus is put together with so much care and love, my partner and I felt so grateful to have found it. We were able to cook a full meal, sleep soundly, and lounge around comfortably without any issue. The bus itself is beautiful on the inside, and it was fun to imagine all the adventures it's been on :) Jessica and her family are so lovely, would reccomened everyone to stay here.

Live To Wander Bus

perfect for a little weekend away

Jessica’s bus is so cute and comfortable! Even though the weather got very cold at night, Jessica provided a space heater and it kept the place cozy. I did some basic cooking on the stove and the kitchen had everything I needed, including a big fridge and pots, pans, and utensils (the only thing I couldn’t find was dish soap). Jessica gave me a great recommendation for a short walk nearby on a wooded trail (the surrounding area is beautiful) and the welcome booklet in the bus listed some local spots to check out, including Oxbow Brewing Co, which I visited for live music, outdoor fire pits, great food, and a fun local scene (the beer looked great too but I’m pregnant and not drinking). Thanks Jessica and family, your bus was the perfect place for a little local weekend getaway :)

Live To Wander Bus

Bus Life!

Jessica and her husband are amazing. Very helpful and responsive. The bus is even funkier than the pictures and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay again were I in the area.
