my family of 4 with 2 dogs camped at Allen's property last weekend to get in a final camping trip of the season while being close enough to attend the OSU/Purdue football game. We stayed in a 19ft travel trailer and a large tent. Even though it was a low in the 40's and raining most of the time, we had a wonderful time staying there. the property on the river is beautiful and peaceful. i saw deer, an Egret fishing, and heard Coyotes late at night. Allen is a gracious host who's willing to help with anything we needed. When we discovered we had a dead car battery, Allen was going to send someone out to jump us. We were finally able to get it started before help was sent out, but the offer was very much appreciated. i recommend this beautiful property and would love to return in the future.

Allen's spot is everything the other reviews have advertised and more! 10/10, absolutely will come back again. A few personal highlights from my experience:
Direct access to the Tippecanoe river - tent set up within four feet of the river bank.
Private - closest neighbors separated by dense forests.
Easy to find and access - directions are a breeze and you can drive directly into the site.
Far enough away to feel completely in the wilderness while only being 15 minutes away from Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, etc. in case you forgot anything.

We loved tent camping here. Right on the water! Water levels were low enough the kids could safely wade in. They loved looking at the shells.
This was such a gorgeous property. My favorite part was the field of native plants and wildflowers.
It's increasingly rare in this world.

River Paradise
This secluded campsite on the Tippecano River is the best medicine for nature lovers. Quiet and peaceful, blue herons, bald eagles and plenty of deer and wildlife abound. You can kayak or float tubes right into the campsite from the Oakdale dam. A field is the only neighbor you have in this little slice of heaven!

Amazing Campsite!
Amazing camp site and property. Allen and Patty are the best and offer a little slice of paradise with their campsite on the river and their beautiful farm! We will be back for sure!
