It was great to stay at Andy’s place. Private but central to lots of options for getting out and exploring. We also were visited by some deer and wild turkeys. Overall would highly recommend!

We loved our stay here! Directions were clear, everything about the property was exactly as described, and Andy was truly a fantastic host. Highlights: a family of turkeys wandered around not far from us during breakfast, a campfire was allowed (we kept a water jug nearby just in case), and we were a short drive away from bonus amenities (groceries, etc.). Andy pointed us to a pile of extra-dry tree trimmings on-site that made for a really nice campfire...dunno about y'all but fires are kind of a must when camping - it was great huddling around the fire and chatting throughout the night. Big big thank you, Andy!!

The Meadow at Tamarack Grove was wonderful! We had a lovely time here and already are talking about how we’d like to go back. The site was private and beautifully maintained, the stars at night were gorgeous, and the sound of the crickets at night made for such a quintessential summer camping experience! Andy was very communicative and kindly had a generous amount of firewood ready for us. Great location and easy to follow directions as well. Highly recommend!

So the campsite is in fact very private. The downside though is that you have to go down a steep narrow gravel road to get to it. I was able to get my Subaru down just fine since it's 4-wheel drive, but I decided my class A motorhome wasn't worth the risk. However Andy did allow me to plug in my RV for electricity and I did enjoy using one of three outdoor campfire pits in the small meadow. It was nice and quiet.

The site was perfect! The site had plenty of space and Andy was helpful in providing directions to get to the location. A spacious and peaceful location! Even saw a few deer during our stay.

The site is really convenient to get to. It is 3 min off the main highway at Hayden, ID which is essentially North Coeur D’Alene. If you need a cheap place to stay in Coeur D’Alene this is it. There was some road and air noise. I wouldn’t say you get a really secluded feeling. It is essentially a pasture below a hillside where the house sits. It would be great for a family looking to get the camping fix with Walmart 5 minutes away. The one thing I didn’t love was the neighbors property being so close. There is a barbed wire fence, but the neighbors kids had their dog near the fence so my dog was naturally curious. Therefore our dog had to stay on leash instead of the off leash we had hoped for.

Andy was a fantastic host and extremely accommodating. He gave us some tips as new van people! He also came to meet us on the road in his atv and shown us the site. The area is beautiful, surrounded by tall trees. Very private. Fire ring with lots of wood. We did get a little confused with the directions. The address is correct but we couldn’t see the lights on the fence, but there were lights on the workshop. I was about to call Andy to clarify but he already seen us and helped us find the way. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Andy!

The site wasn’t too far away from society but it felt really private which was a nice get away without having to go too far. Beautiful area and a great view of the stars!

We were greeted in the driveway. Andy was very nice. The meadow is amazing. We were lucky enough to see an amazing lightening storm all night. We didn’t use the toilet aka bucket, but it was a nice option. If we come back to Silverwood, we I’ll definitely come back!

This place was very private and accommodating! Just a few miles from lovely hikes and Hayden Lake! Andy was a great host for us. He was welcoming and had a very fast respond time which is great! Our stay at Tamarack Grove was everything we could have hoped for and more. We will definitely be back to camp here again soon.

Andy was a great host! He drove my camping gear down to the site in his RZR due to the drive being blocked. The campsite felt very private despite being in a semi residential area.

We wanted to get out and practice camping in our new rooftop camper… Andy he was a great host getting us set up perfectly despite 8 inches of snow for the perfect winter outing in a beautiful area. Did some hiking afterwords in Farragut state park. Great short trip

Andy was great and the site was awesome! I loved that I could let my dogs roam freely and how nice and quiet it was. I was looking for a little break from everything and I got it. I really liked that I had the option of two spots to put my tent and the little private camp bathroom he made. I would 100% stay there again!

Andy was so helpful. It was very easy to find the place with the directions given. I did not see the mentioned signs due to us arriving in the dark, but the stone firepit was a give away. It was great to sleep soundly in this secluded area.

I was only here for one night but it was a great place to stay if you're looking for something private, I was the only one here during my stay. I did not meet the owner but he gave clear instructions on how to find the campsite.

Andy went above and beyond for us when we realized our battery had died in our truck because our mischievous toddler had left the light on all night. His site was clean, the space pristine, and we even saw 4 deer running through the meadows. We booked extremely last minute and he proved to be a welcoming, gracious host!

We had a great time at the meadow. Andy was an extremely gracious host and the location is beautiful and relaxing. We saw a couple deer come through in the early evening and we could hear a train in the distance in the early morning. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for an off the radar camping spot.

We just returned from a five day stay at Tamarack Grove. My family really enjoyed the meadow, great well water, and the lonesome train whistle at night.
Andy was very helpful and friendly. He let us enjoy ourselves, but he was there when we needed him. Excellent chap, he is.
It will be fun to return to see the improvements he has planned for his property. Best of luck to you, Andy!

We loved how quiet, relaxed, and remote this property was. It was nice to pull in, set up camp, and just let the stress of life melt away. Our two dogs ran and ran and ran and had the best time possible. We highly recommend this place to hang a hammock, set up a tent, and let the worries of life fade away. This was such a great place for us to stop on our trip from Portland to Bozeman! Thank you so much for hosting us on your wonderful slice of Idaho!
