A unique stay managed by the owner just 30 minutes from the West Yellowstone entrance! Stay in this cozy custom built guest cabin where I strive to make you feel like a local not a tourist. The Mini Moose is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood just off highway 20. It offers more amenities and conveniences than a hotel while adding the tranquility and privacy of your own mountain retreat! After a busy and crowded day in the park, escape to the Mini Moose where you can, BBQ, build a campfire, play cards, do some rock painting or just simply relax and enjoy the mountain air after a fun filled busy day in the park.
Location:
The Mini Moose is centrally located in Island Park. It's two miles from a gas station/store, bank and post office, with several restaurants and lodges within 5 miles.
Enjoy nearby trails and fishing or schedule a lazy river float down Big Springs. You will also find maps, books and local area suggestions upon your arrival.
The space
The Mini Moose is a spacious 325 square feet with a small loft for additional sleeping. I designed the space with Yellowstone travelers in mind. It's equipped and decorated to create a fun experience. because I want your accommodations to be as memorable and unique as the park you've come to see.
Guest access
Your adventure begins the moment you leave Island Parks buzzing highway 20. You will be on dirt roads for about 2 miles. The roads are well maintained and do not require 4 wheel drive but they can get a bit muddy during the rainy season. Please be mindful of the posted 15 mph speed limits along the way.
Other things to note:
There are three structures on the property: The Treetop Loft, the Tiny Timber your Mini Moose. Each building has a sign, its own entry codes, its own designated parking and ample space for privacy. The neighborhood is amazing. It's safe, well maintained and full of friendly seasonal locals. You wont feel like a tourist here!The Mini Moose Timber is a fun, cozy and unique stay! It is just 30 minutes away from the West Yellowstone Entrance and is in an area that offers hiking, fishing, horseback riding, rafting, dining and endless sightseeing opportunities. On the property, you could have shared access to a fire pit, BBQ and picnic table. In the cabin, there is a small coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge.
