Rasayana Cove is a 25-acre eco-retreat located in the heartland of west central Florida. An hour's drive east of Sarasota surrounded by vast tracts of orange groves and ranch land, Rasayana Cove has been operating as a small retreat center since 1995. The long eastern boundary borders Horse Creek, a major tributary of the Peace River. The property features two spring-fed ponds - one small and the other large. The cabins are accessible by well constructed shell-topped roads with good drainage and a variety of nature pathways. A natural ecosystem remains undisturbed in the middle of the property - a Florida bay head of native flora and wildlife. While most of the state is crowded and overdeveloped, this eco-retreat offers a haven of peace in the pristine nature of Florida

Hermitage Cabin w/ Cedar Walk-in Shower

Camping in nature with the animals.

We had a great time at the rustic cabin. The cabin was very charming, and you were in the middle of nature with ponds and a stream. We saw deer, a beautiful frog and alligators on the property. We had a great time.

Magical Cabin

Dennis’s cabin and land was so special! We went to celebrate my brother and I’s birthday and get away with no service for a night. It was raining when we were there and the rain made it so much more magical and wonderful! A family occupied the cabin across from us and they were wonderful! We all were running around in the field behind the cabins in the rain and laughing and smiling. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our birthday! Thank you Dennis for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin! It had everything we needed and was so cozy. Sleeping to the sound of the rain was perfect and peaceful.

Hermitage Cabin w/ Cedar Walk-in Shower

Great host, great peace

Dennis was incredibly nice. The property is very calming, and a great way to get away and be in nature. We unfortunately had a family emergency and had to leave early, but we plan to come back with our family! Thankfully, everything is okay now after quite a scare, but we plan to come back and enjoy the unplugging and disconnect from technology. Be sure to bring a generator in case. Beautiful, earthy property.

Hermitage Cabin w/ Cedar Walk-in Shower

Beautiful land with a well stocked cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful. The two cabins were a little closer together than I thought, but our neighbors were polite people and it wasn’t a bother. Each property had separate fire pits which was a nice plus!! Plenty of wood to burn, pretty trails throughout the property, overall a very cute and maintained property.

Comfortable cabin camping

Beautiful and secluded. Very cozy, clean and quiet! All kinds of wildlife including owls, turkeys, deer, many other types of birds and so on. Cabin is very well built with a walk around porch and gorgeous views in every direction! Had everything our family of 4 needed for a comfortable cabin camping experience. Even our young boys had tons of fun without their electronics and got to catch some fish as well! Dennis the host is also very friendly and easy to talk to.

Hermitage Cabin w/ Cedar Walk-in Shower

Very bad experience

I am writing this review to let others know before choosing this location. We arrived a bit after 4 pm to check in. We briefly met the owner and then went to look at our cabin. My wife and I are Christian and knew the location had some sort of spiritual retreat connected to it, but figured it wouldn’t be an issue for us. There was a Buddha close to the cabin with what looked like an alter with shells and a gate behind it. I believe I saw a picture of it so that was not surprising. What I did not expect was inside the cabin by the bed was a picture of a naked woman. On the other side of the bed was a picture with 4 strange looking faces, the top one with horns on its head. We decided to leave. I looked for the owner and did not find him. The last thing we saw was a giant statue of a snake standing up. I was very uneasy here and we thankfully left. I am hoping to get a refund as we did not spend the night. I tried contacting Dennis before and after we left and did not get a response. I would not recommend staying here.
