Welcome to the "Wild and Scenic Myakka River"! Our 20 acre ranch has everything from Longhorn cattle, to a white sand beach. We like to say our sand is like Siesta Key, except it's...in a swamp. Our property is not too far upstream from the Myakka State park, and parking is never a problem. ;-) We have a beautiful homestead, and you have the choice of a furnished camper with water and power hookups in our pasture, or 2 primative tent or RV spots on the edge of a beautiful stand of Live Oak trees and Sabal palms along the river. We have a porta potty on site that is regularly maintained. Bring your family, bring your dog, bring your friends.....and don't forget to bring a fishing pole!

Beautiful canopy oak trees leading to the camping area each site exclusive and has access to the Manatee River. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We loved Rebecca’s place . Unique , quiet, secluded and still close to the city . The property offers a beautiful landscape of Florida’s native flora . Lots of shade .and open spaces. We enjoyed spending time by the river bank. Excellent spot to sun bath , relax , fish , etc. Rebecca was very friendly and attentive. Excellent host . We definitely recommend this place .

What a gem!

This place is a gem! Super quiet with real Florida feel. Extremely quiet, perfect a night for stargazing, short walk on the property to access the small beach by the Myakka River, well kept overall so we’ll return for sure! Great great stay!!

Old oak canopy

Old Oak Camp Site on Myakka River

I took my 4 year old daughter camping at the Old Oak site for the weekend. The campsite was excellent, private, riverfront, fire pit, shaded area for tent, plenty of room for parking 2 vehicles. Walking distance from main recreational area. The river is walkable (mostly knee height, my daughter found hours of entertainment just navigating the river. They had kayaks and paddle boards available as well. Would highly recommend to campers looking to explore the upper Myakka river. Also a little over half hour from Myakka River State Park. They have alligator tours and hiking trails as well as board walks and a canopy walk. Plenty of entertainment for the weekend.

Sabal Palm Serenity

Beautiful Spot

It was a beautiful spot and we were able to spot otters, which is so rare in FL. The mosquitos were pretty bad but they did warn us. Loved that we were next to the Mayakka River.
