Your private Yurt in the woods -2 miles to town! Come experience the Beauty of the Sierra foothills and the Yuba river in our Yurt tucked into the forest just 2 miles from downtown Nevada city. With a natural creek right outside your door and hiking trails right off the deck, this serene and beautiful yurt retreat awaits you. Claw foot bath tub, fire pit and large deck to relax on. Wood fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm. Small functional kitchen with a hot plate, toaster oven, micro sink and fridge. We have a wood fired hot tub on-site. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot. During the winter the yurt is heated with a wood fired stove. It takes a few hours to warm up, and needs to be maintained during your stay to keep the place toasty. There is a lovely wood stove and plenty of firewood for you to use! The Queen bed has a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night. The hot tub Is wonderful in the winter, it is wood fired and takes several hours to heat as well.

Magical Sanctuary

Such a beautiful place. We felt like we were in a magical rainforest. Our favorite thing to do was to take a nice little walk and explore several trails then afterwards soak in the hot barrel while listening to the streams of water. Nathan was such an amazing host. Any questions we had was answered promptly. This beautiful and spacious yurt comes with everything you need! We really appreciated the mini kitchen. It was nice to be able to cook a gourmet meal. The wood stove kept the yurt nice and cozy. Before arriving we had planned to take a trip to downtown and explore, but ended up not leaving the yurt. This place is that amazing. It puts you in a trance and compels you to stay and soak in Mother Nature’s love. We are already planning our next trip for this fall!

Magical Yurt in the woods - 2 miles

Me and my wife enjoyed the private setting with the sound of the river running, surrounding nature, and rain drops with our stay. There was plenty of firewood, cutlery, and other utensils to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire and the wood stove inside the yurt kept it nice and toasty even after the fire had gone out. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.

Magical Yurt in the woods - 2 miles

You're own private Narnia

This place is amazing! You're greeted by a stream and foot bridge that leads to a well lit path through lush landscaping. A short walk and you're at your yurt that's hidden among trees, ferns, and huge rocks covered in bright, green moss. We joked that we were in Narnia. Our dog absolutely loved the well maintained trails just behind the yurt. We hiked all over the hillside back there. I think our site (one w/ 2 additional buildings and outdoor shower instead of tub) seems to have better access to those trails. You should definitely drive 4m down the road for a morning hike on the Cascade Canal. The yurt has a comfy bed and the wood burning stove heats the place up extremely well. Bathroom and kitchen are stocked with everything you need including a coffee maker and microwave. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, etc. Honestly, this place is so enjoyable that I've already recommended it to several friends and plan on returning in warmer weather. One thing to note if you have a sound sensitive dog, there is a rifle range maybe a mile or so down the road, but we couldn't hear anything.

Magical Yurt in the woods - 2 miles

My partner and I really enjoyed our time at Nathan’s yurt. The entire space is the perfect size for two people and it’s such a peaceful getaway. The fireplace did an excellent job at keeping the yurt warm and cozy. The outside was also very cute and the surrounding trees made it feel very serene. Would definitely recommend!

It was a wonderful experience living in the Yurt for 3 days and. 2 nights. We are amaze how nice the place is -tall trees with moss on the trunks as well as pathways have moss and leaves started to open up for spring.. Nathan instructed me everything about the Yurt location and amenities, i highly recommend this place if you want serinity and bonding with your family

We absolutely loved staying on Nathans land at the magical yurt. Nestled in a natural bowl in the forest, this yurt has everything you need. A beautifully landscaped scene makes this place a must for anyone who loves the forest but wants the comforts of home. We're already talking about our next stay.
