From solar power to rainwater collection, composting systems, tree nurseries, chicken-raising, and more, Rancho del Sol focuses on low-impact, regenerative living in harmony with the land. While rustic, your booking enables us to care for this beautiful space using sustainable practices. This rustic tiny cabin sits on 20 acres, only 40 minutes from the California central coast, perched on a hill with scenic views. Please note: There is no electricity, insulation, or bedding provided in the cabin. There is also no running water in the cabin. There is a an outhouse behind the cabin with toilet paper provided. Guests have the freedom to explore and enjoy various parts of the property, including the vernal pond (take the on-site kayak for a spin!), observation deck, nature trails, outdoor dining areas, and a shared hot tub. The interior of the main house, the interior and exterior of the tiny home, the interiors of the storage buildings, and the fruit orchards are private areas. Enjoy the hot tub near the main (yellow) house. Please use the pallett outdoor shower (cold water), near the hot tub before getting in the hot tub. Fire is only allowed in a BioLite Fire Pit (available for rent, $15) (wood or charcoal). Wood is sold separately ($9/bundle w/ fire starter/kindling included)

Beautiful place !! Ben greeted me as I was pulling in, great chat he gave me a quick run down of the property. I really enjoyed my stay , gorgeous cabin well constructed, very charming. Awesome views overall. Ben provide me with two sleeping bags , I also brought one of my own, it was cozy in the cabin bring a couple of extra blankets of your own. I hope to come by again in the near future.

Lovely Stay

Beautiful location, loved the lake and having a splash around with the kayak, the hot tub was great too. Lovely little cabin with plenty of space if you sleep in the top section. Rustic but great. We loved it

I had a great time during my stay. Walking into the cabin and greeted by the ultra woody smell was a warm welcome. The cabin is obviously small but it has everything that you need. Be extra cautious when climbing up to the loft bed as it's a bit of a tight fit and you can bang your head and knee when climbing. I highly recommend grabbing a sandwich/snacks at Santa Margarita Market and hiking to the Rinconada Mine if you have the time for it on your trip. Nighttime was gorgeous with all of the stars out. I was surprised that the cabin stayed relatively comfortable temperature wise throughout the night but I would recommend to bring extra blankets just in case. I didn't have any issues that required me to contact the host, but he seemed very willing to help if anything did arise. Overall I had a really nice time and would stay again!

A great little getaway, and cannot recommend the tiny cabin enough. It is well appointed with two beds, and a nice table inside, and a great comfortable chair on the porch to take in the view. I also recommend checking out the pond and taking the kayak for a spin while you visit. Great host, great property!

This spot is great - as advertised, it is very simple with no amenities but it's super cute and on a stunning hill with views for days. We love camping and know how to exist in spaces like this - we brought our own bedding, pillows, some flowers, etc to make the space feel more cozy and truly had a lovely time. We loved how out and in the middle of nature the space feels. And all the lovely add-ons, like the hot tub, are so great. We enjoyed our stay so much! Will definitely be back.
