Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's most treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. TOAD HALL

Toad Hall is a heated, one room, 8x8 cabin. It's an easy pull in/out - so it's not too far from the road, perfect for your next glamping adventure. Firepit and firewood is provided. This is a popular spot for Overlanders to set up camp and use the cabin as their "living room" or bedroom. There is a cot inside for 2 people, but also feel free to bring your own pads/bedding... Heat is provided via a propane Buddy Heater as needed (smoke/carbon dioxide detector is in the cabin.) There are solar lights inside, along with a USB plug to charge small devices. The cabin is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and public swimming area on Long Lake. There's also porto potties next to the walkable country store, which has everything you forgot to bring. There is no running water or bathroom on the property so we ask you bring a camping potty and do not bury human waste. The Bear River, which is a beautiful spot to swim and wade in, runs right through the property- but it's also drinking water and a protected watershed. Again, please make sure you have a camping potty plan. This is a self check-in/out, so expect an easy anytime-arrival process (and we'll ask you to please leave the property prepared for the next guest to arrive.)

The 100 acre wood located in the hills of Oxford County is a peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of todays world. Recently selectively logged we discovered views of local mountains and decided to take advantage of the clearings. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

Originally part of the Blackmore Dairy farm, this land became the stewardship of Bentley in 1975. Since then, Bentley has been raising Horned Dorset sheep, transitioning over time to Dorper Sheep and a few Highland cattle. In addition to livestock, the farm continues to supply hay, practice forestry, and produce maple syrup. Embracing agro-tourism, Eweturn Farm strives to demonstrate sustainable living practices. To further this mission, ETF has created private tenting sites along the "upriver" piece of land, encompassing 200 acres of woods, fields, trails, and waterways formed by the Gulf Island Dam. Guests are invited to explore nature trails, fish in the river, or paddle in canoes or kayaks. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, deer, and wild turkey, common sights in this picturesque location. Not far from the foundation of one of the more established farmsteads of the era, this campsite is tucked away from the road down by the rushing Bull Branch of the Sunday River. Whether you bake on the rocks after dipping, or toss a fly in a quiet pool, the river will soothe your soul. Explore endless mountains streams, trails to the Appalachian Trail, and remote dirt roads in the heart of the Mahoosucs from your secluded walk-in low impact tent site with privy. Deep swimming holes and trout fishing beckon. There are three sites: #1: Riverside (more secluded),#2:Hillside(closest to the parking), and #3: Fireside. The hillside and fireside sites can combine for a group although are at a short distance from each other. If weather conditions permit, all campers can share the fire circle and table. The Riverside has its own table.

The Queen's Property on Thomas Pond

THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater pond with over 7.4 miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch and picnic right of way is just a two or three minutes walk down the road from your site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the beaches of Bridgton’s Crystal Lake which sits on the edge of its downtown borders. The towns of Raymond and Windham also offer our visitors numerous restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores, and gas stations. Once again, all within a short drive from your campsite (3-4 minutes). NEARBY STATE PARKS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES If your idea of exploring is centered around outdoor activities, then Sebago Lake State Park is a 1,342-acre park that abuts the shores of Sebago Lake. It's one of Maine’s most popular parks. Located in the towns of Casco and Naples, the park is open year-round and is less than 7 miles ( less than 10 minutes) from your campsite. Within the park, you will enjoy protected forests, bike paths, and Sebago Lake beaches. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. The park and the lake host some of Maine's’ best sandy beaches, water sports, fishing, boating, boat rentals, camping, picnic areas, boat launches, extensive woodlands, a wide array of critters, hiking trails, and walking trails. Sebago Park hosts various play areas for children with slides and swings. The summer sun is warm and the autumn colors are always abundant and beautiful. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. If you are an avid hiker, The Queen’s Property is a short drive to numerous mountain ranges, forests, and peaks, all of which contain hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking trails. There are over 25 hiking trails within 10 miles of The Queen's Property and over 115 trails within 20 miles. Oh, and if you love winter sports you will love the Lakes Region. Numerous ski resorts, along with hundreds of miles of cross-country ski and snowmobile trails can be found throughout the area.

We (me and my dogs) moved up here from Boston last year and are enjoying all the sounds of nature, woods walks and mountain views and we hope you will too!Learn more about this land:The 10 acre field is open, partially mowed & offers apples in the fall! The view of the mountain is really nice. Enjoy the fire pit or walk through the 60 acres of woods. Please note, my house is located on the road, in the front corner of the field. It is possible to camp in the field a spot such that you do not have to see my house. You can also camp just behind the field in maple trees (there's a clear path). The other option is to walk into the back back woods and fashion yourself a place to camp if you are feeling a bit more rugged / adventurous - there are paths but they are not newly installed / groomed (originally created for logging activities a long time ago so - rugged). There's a brook at the far side of my property which goes all along the back edge. Nearby Norway Lake is great for swimming, boating, kayaking, etc (public boat launch is an easy drive). This is a great place for road running as well (or road biking if you can handle the hills). Note that the field is a field; there's no road laid in. I can drive into fine in my Sienna but if you have a really low car you might have to walk it.This is rustic camping! There's no electricity or running water. I can provide a 5 gal jug of spring water for drinking / fire dousing (please let me know in advance if you will need this so I can go to the spring). You should have full cell signal in the middle of the field and in the high points in the back woods (but definitely it drops out in the lower points). There is a barn that is occasionally available for eating / camping; there is electricity & wifi in there as well as lights and tables. There's an extra charge for this & please inquire about availability. Also, very dog friendly - please bring your dogs! Let me know if you'd like me to leave some snow fencing out for you to fashion a bit of an enclosed area. I have some agility equipment & all kinds of mushing equipment if your pup might be interested. Happy to do mini demos / lessons for a small extra fee. I have a spare GPS set up that can be rented while you are onsite. Can also offer dog sitting if you want to go out to dinner / etc and not bring your pup.

The 100 acre wood located in the hills of Oxford County is a peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of todays world. Recently selectively logged we discovered views of local mountains and decided to take advantage of the clearings. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. ATV trails (also can be used for off-road biking)onsite connect with other towns for many miles and hours of riding. Plenty of lakes/rivers for kayaking. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

Originally part of the Blackmore Dairy farm, this land became the stewardship of Bentley in 1975. Since then, Bentley has been raising Horned Dorset sheep, transitioning over time to Dorper Sheep and a few Highland cattle. In addition to livestock, the farm continues to supply hay, practice forestry, and produce maple syrup. Embracing agro-tourism, Eweturn Farm strives to demonstrate sustainable living practices. To further this mission, ETF has created private tenting sites along the "upriver" piece of land, encompassing 200 acres of woods, fields, trails, and waterways formed by the Gulf Island Dam. Guests are invited to explore nature trails, fish in the river, or paddle in canoes or kayaks. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, deer, and wild turkey, common sights in this picturesque location. Arrange a visit to meet the cows, sheep, donkey, and chickens at our nearby farm. Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's most treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose. Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other.
