Where our Buffalo, Cattle and other animals graze in the meadows and fields and roam the hills and hollows and drink from 11 free flowing springs. My family has lived in these parts for over 150 years ever since my great grandfather settled here from Georgia. This land has been used for may things. From raising cotton, corn, hogs, cattle and at one time my family was one of the largest strawberry producers in the state and always raised a large vegetable garden. I can still remember my daddy plowing this ground with a big black team of mules. For the past 20 years we have raised Buffalo. But the commitment has always been the same. Taking the time to help your neighbor, even if he does not ask. Keeping your word, a man is only as good as his word . Treating people fairly and with respect, if you can not respect others you can not respect yourself. And for each generation to leave the land in better shape than when you started farming it.

Just look for the "ugly hillbilly house." We were directly in the path of the full eclipse in April 2024!!! And we had a great view! Imagine popping a solar panel of the back of that old hillbilly house how much wattage you can pick up. Do you like roughing it? We sure do! This is DRY CAMPING. The local economy is based on outdoor activities like boating, fishing, hunting, and hiking, and there are many campgrounds in the area. Mine is different because you are practically guaranteed solitude, minus an occasional dog or armadillo. No one is going to pull up next to you at 11 PM and turn on their generator right next to your tent! If you DON'T like RV parks that line them up as close as possible, try this out! Great for stargazing. Snakes also inhabit the area but are usually just black snakes or "king" snakes. Be aware! Copperheads have been spotted too, but are rare. Snakes eat rats, please don't kill any wildlife unless you are going to eat it or if you are in danger. Hunting and use of firearms is NOT covered by hipcamp's insurance policy. However, it is my private property and open carry is the law. Don't shoot yourself in the foot trying to hit a copperhead! We do have 911 access, that's why the roads are all numbered numerically. Please don't block the driveway. Two canoe rentals are nearby and the Crooked Creek provides fun floating. The Buffalo National River is about 20 miles away, and Bull Shoals lake is about a 30 minute drive. There is no light pollution so you can see the stars very well on a clear night. Electricity and water will be added eventually to haul/flush and to charge your equipment but CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE. Upgrades will come with time (along with my retirement). Pyatt has a good Family Dollar with propane and necessities, and Yellville has a good gas station, restaurants, grocery store, and even a pub! Redbud Cottage is a fully furnished non-smoking cabin, able to sleep six adults and set amid our 160 acre nature preserve near Arkansas' lower Buffalo River. Area attractions are nearby - the Buffalo National River at Buffalo Point and the historic abandoned mining town of Rush. And for those who only wish to relax and recharge surrounded by the natural beauty of our Ozark hills, we offer a spacious screened deck, covered picnic area, outdoor fire pit, and complete privacy. Learn more about this land: The cottage is well furnished, very private, and includes convenient outdoor outlets for overnight electric vehicle charging. We're in close proximity to the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point park and also the historic mining town of Rush, and access to Redbud Cottage is along our private and well-maintained one-mile gravel road. The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. We offer Satellite TV. The cottage is air conditioned for your comfort, and gas heat assures comfort year round.

Welcome to Grassy Road Cabins and Camping. Here you will find 23 acres of rolling pasture accented by patches of forest and at the center a large recreational fishing pond. Placed perfectly in between two popular Buffalo Nation River Access Points: South Maumee and Spring Creek. Grassy Road currently offers: two tiny house cabins, 5 tent sites with 20 amp electric, 3 more primitive tent sites, and 10 RV sites that are full water/sewer hookups with 20/30/50 amp service. There is a two unit bathhouse with hot showers. This campground is designed to operate remotely through partners like Hipcamp without owners or managers always on site. All check-ins and check-outs will be done self service.
