It's not just people, as neighbours to a County Wildlife Site, we are very excited to discover the wildlife that also calls our patch home and help protect some rare habitats: we are custodians to a small patch of extremely rare Temperate Rainforest and Culm Grassland that is a nature-lovers' paradise. The closest you’ll get to a wash is a splash in the on-site stream, the only undercover space is our small, communal field shelter and when it comes to drinking water – come prepared WE HAVE NO DRINKING WATER ON SITE! What we lack in luxuries, we make up for with freedom! We loved the location, tucked down a farm track, in the shelter of a lovely wooded river. Great eco facilities, we love a composting loo and the outdoor showers were fabulous. Tim on site was really helpful and friendly. Gorgeous, generous pitches and so peaceful. The wash up area in the wood is a lovely spot but a little far from the site and in the less sunny months would get a bit waterlogged I'd imagine. It was no bother to us as we boiled water and washed up on our pitch, but might be an issue at a busier time perhaps. We loved our stay, good value, a great site with a fabulous ethos. Right up our street, would wholeheartedly recommend. The river walk is a lovely amenity and lots of places are easy to reach from it's central location.

Great site, hot showers and toilets (composting (flush with a scoop of sawdust)). Wild camping with a little bit of comfort. Takes tents, motorhomes, camper vans, trailer tents etc. Dishwashing facilities a bonus with hot water on tap. Calves in field are a real treat for inquisitive children just keep dogs on a lead as they'll come right up to your tent if you let them.. moo moo. Beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic and super dark at night so you can see way back in time. Will definitely be going back as soon as we can. Get weather now app as it's really accurate for the Cornish weather which can be changeable in September and gives a good radar picture of clouds and rain etc. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating, fire pits available to toast your marshmallows and dry your socks Only a short walk from a little fishing village with working shingle harbour "beach". 10 mins by car from Kennack Sands (sandy) beach. Seems good for surfing on windier days and family fun when it's a bit calmer. Plenty of rock pools, a cafe and a kiosk. Parking isnt too expensive either. There are also a few other coves and beaches around the lizard peninsula worth exploring. Fishing is good from the safer rocks and there's a tackle and bait shop in lizard. Almost forgot, there's a hot food van on site if you can't be bothered cooking breakfast.

I had a really good stay at this campsite. Will and Catherine were welcoming and helpful. They offered fire pits, wood, eggs, and milk if needed, which was a nice bonus. The compost loos were clean and well-stocked. The pitches were spacious and had great views over the water. There was also a catering van on site with tasty food and friendly service. Overall, it was a relaxed and well-run site. I’d definitely recommend it.

We had such a wonderful two-night stay at Elm Farm with two friends and our two dogs. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short drive to lots of beautiful beaches, with Porthtowan being a real highlight for us as it brought back childhood memories of visiting. The facilities at Elm Farm were excellent and made our stay really comfortable. The hosts were so welcoming and attentive, and they went out of their way to give us loads of great recommendations for places to explore nearby. One of the best surprises was discovering their café on the bike hire side, the food was absolutely amazing and not to be missed! We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip. We’d definitely recommend Elm Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a fantastic location, and we’ll certainly be returning.

We loved the open, spacious and quiet camping spots at Goren Farm. The showers were hot and the toilets, communal fridge and sink were clean. We went to the farm shop and cafe on our last day and had scrumptious food. Cheese scone with extra cheese and brie panini. Yum! We are going to come back to camp again and definitely for the Goren Children's festival next year! We went to Tukers Arms on the recommendation of another review and loved it. Also the Beer Light Railway is worth a visit. :D

We stayed here for a week, Will & Cathy couldn’t be more helpful and the site is beautifully located. We had a stunning view over the sea and were placed next to ours friends. The composting toilets are cleaned regularly and don’t smell at all, we loved what Will & Cathy are aiming to achieve for the environment. The food shack “coastal cravings” sells delicious and reasonably priced meals, they also will freeze ice packs and charge phones etc. Highlight is the Cadgwith Beach bbq and the cows that wander around the fields and come over to say hello 🤩…
