brilliant place to stay, very relaxed there but if you need anything they was there. me and my partner stayed here with our 2 daughters and our dog and it was 100% one of the best places we have been to, great veiws, great facilities. all in all will 100% be staying again and maybe try the other cabins.

We loved our stay at Aldridge Mill! It was so peaceful and lots of lovely walking spots near by :)
It was so refreshing having space for ourselves and our dogs - We arrived at the end of September so was very quiet and spacious.

The site was exactly as described! Really quiet and calming.
Our only note would be to make sure if your van is bigger than a short wheel base is make sure you are a relatively confident driver as the roads to get to the site are narrow single track and quite tight.
But overall we would be happy to stay again.

We’ve had a lovely 3 nights at the gorgeous yurt. Weather was fab, yurt was amazing and super comfy! We loved stargazing around the fire in the evenings and took the dogs for some lush walks.
Would definitely come and stay again!

So spacious, great out of the way peaceful spot but also near enough to the coast and moor for walks. Lovely walk around the hill fort for sunset. Yummy pizza.

Amazing quiet spot (except for some noisy sheep!), plenty of space per pitch & lovely sea views. excellent shower and toilet facilities a very short walk away. Picnic bench and fire pit and wood provided. The tent itself was amazing - looked brand new, on a raised deck which kept it dry and clean & chairs to sit and watch the sun rise with a cuppa, comfy warm beds, rugs, blankets, hot water bottles all provided. Cute little “kitchen” hut with a gas hob and kettle and pans and crockery and cool box - everything we needed for a short break was thought of and provided. Great communication with the hosts beforehand as well. Would highly recommend and love to return if we’re in the area again.

Had a really great time camping at Camp Couture. The facilities were fantastic, lots of space and beautiful setting. Nick was a brilliant host, help us move our stuff to our pitch and was friendly throughout. Would 100% recommend!

Had a really nice time at Rocombe Valley Retreat, Elliot was very welcoming on arrival, the bell tent was great and comfortable. The site was quiet and clean and they had a lot of essentials there ready to use in the shared kitchen, including a fridge/freezer to store food in. Wood fired hot tub was a nice treat to top it off.

We loved camping with Shelley, amazing place to camp.
It’s a true wilderness and it’s is wild camping, although there is a nice shower at the farm.
The directions to the campsite are hard to follow, ideally they would drop pins on where the campsites actually are. We have no idea if we camped at the right spot but weren’t disturbed and had a great couple of days

Weekend Trip to The Greenhouse Spa Retreat
We absolutely loved the place. Had the best time, very cosy ❤️ horses are beautiful ❤️❤️ everything was clean and tidy! We definitely recommend it to everyone and I’m sure we will book again soon, thank you 🙏

I stayed in the lower field, which I had all to myself. It was lovely and peaceful--not that that the other campers were at all noisy. You'll have to work a bit to find a flat spot, but they're there, and it's worth it once you do. Victoria was very responsive and helpful, supplying me with firewood on short notice. Highly recommended if your camping solo (like me) or with a whole group of friends.

We stayed as a family of 5 for 4 nights! was a truly beautiful location and run by a lovely family. we were able to hire the camp fire with wood. and my girls really enjoy seeing the sheep on the farm. The amenities are excellent also for camping. nicest I've come across. The sunsets are beautiful and the clear night sky is great for star gazing. I also recommend driving to Totnes which was about 20/30ish min drive. and obviously Torquay isn't far. Otherwise enjoy some lovely walks around the camp site which are also mapped out by the outdoor type kitchen area! And they have a fridge/freezer you can use! We absolutely miss this place already and will definitely return! Thank you so much. x

We booked a weekend stay with our daughter and it was lovely, very peaceful and calm. She loved feeding the pigs! The hot tub stays hot for a long time once you’ve got it going so worth firing it up nice abs early. The site owners were always around and really helpful too.

3 nights at The Secret Garden
I travelled with two older grandsons. We were delighted with the space and facilities. I’m from that area but had no idea that this Secret Garden was there!
A pullout bed made sleeping for 3 adults possible. Nice little shower room and cooking equipment good. Outside seating area and hot tub were wonderful. We made fires each night and sat out late with hot chocolate to see the stars.
Fun swing (log on a rope) was enjoyed by all of us. The boys were surprised and delighted as was I
Sheryl communicated by message and was so helpful. The fresh eggs (option) were delicious.
Hope to return again.

The bell tents are beautiful and come with everything you need - pots, pans, a kettle, a stove and cool box. Tent looks out over playground and children loved it. Campsite is high up with gorgeous views but can be windy so bring warm clothes! Will return!

What an incredible stay at this working farm campsite in North Devon! From the moment we arrived, Nick made us feel completely welcome with her warm, relaxed approach. She strikes the perfect balance - always visible and ready to help with anything you need, while having thoughtfully designed the campsite so that most of your needs are already taken care of without having to ask.
The practical touches really stood out: the double-space fridge was brilliant for longer stays, and the honesty box system for the washer and dryer worked seamlessly. The shower block deserves special mention - spacious enough for whole families, spotlessly clean, and with excellent water pressure and hot water. Perfect for families with children.
What makes this place truly magical is being on a genuine working farm. The animals are integrated naturally into the campsite environment, and there's a wonderful freedom to wander around and observe them respectfully. No overly officious rules - just common sense and respect for the animals and farm life. The views across the Devon countryside are absolutely stunning.
Nick herself was exceptional throughout our stay - her genuine care for guests and attention to detail really shows. We're already planning our return visit!
Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic farm experience with excellent facilities and the warmest of welcomes.

What a lovely site down amongst the trees. We particularly enjoyed the space, quiet, fire pit and being able to let our dogs roam free. The kitchen setup is great and the shower was so easy to use. Lovely clean site perfect for our family get away. Do book Sunday lunch at the castle inn pub and walk the 20-30 mins across the fields it was a great lunch.
