It was our first time camping with our new teardrop camper and we definitely chose the right place! David was so lovely and helped me to reverse it onto the pitch. Due to bad reviews I expected the facilities to be dirty but they were far from it! Very clean and plenty of toilet roll!
As for the location, it’s amazing for people who love walking, we had a few hours walk down the canal and I definitely recommend walking across the road to the Riverside cafe for some lunch. Other than that there’s not much to do unless you want to drive into Stafford Centre but perfect for a quiet chilled couple of nights!

A lovely clean campsite with plenty of activities to do locally. There is someone on site all of the time which is reassuring . We had a beautiful spot right overlooking the canal junction . We had a great 3 night stay at Great Haywood . Thank you so much

Lovely view! Farm Shop opposite where we got ice cream, fresh milkshake and fresh pizza cooked! Then we went on a walk past the canals and found Essex bridge where the kids swam with other children in a river! Kids had the best time!

Lovely tranquil camp site in a nice location in the Cotswolds. Good pitches with plenty of space. Shame the local pub was closed for renovation works.

We’ve stayed here many times and it’s a great spot for a peaceful weekend. The site is very pretty with the surrounding orchard and green hills, and well situated for country walks and visits to nearby towns. The facilities are great - everything you might need (including hammocks!) - and everyone we met was so relaxed and friendly.

My son and I had a very peaceful weekend here, despite it being packed! A really clean and tidy, well equipped site and although we felt that the pitches were quite close together, the long grasses made it feel private enough and fellow campers were very respectful and quiet! Oh ... and we LOVED the church bells! 😄
We'll definitely be going again and highly recommend for an 'almost wild' and restful camping experience!
Special thanks to Antonia who came to greet us when we first arrived, was very helpful and then left us to it!

We loved staying on Dolwen Campsite. The pitches are spacious and offer a lot of privacy. We recommand this campsite to those who search a small campsite in a rural environment with good facilities.

2nd time staying here - Its such a beautiful little spot. The facilities are good, the site is quiet, and it's a good base to venture out into the Cotswolds.

Place have large pitches, perfect for large tents. Showers and toilets were always clean.

Very relaxing and really enjoyed the breakfast at the cafe.. toilet was clean and the site was silent at night. Great logs for fire pit available to buy.
