Set on glorious parkland in the middle of the South Downs National Park, Lordington Park really is a wonderful countryside escape. A 15 minutes’ drive from Chichester, our rustic camping field has views over rolling countryside. Spectacular sunsets and sunrises can be expected on cloudless days. Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life in our peaceful rural campsite, with spacious grass pitches big enough for you to have lots of private space. Each pitch has a firepit for barbecues, and there is access to composting toilets, a shower block with warm water, and fresh drinking water. Please note there is no electricity on this simple site. Vehicles are not allowed to park on the camping field, but parking is provided a stone’s throw away. Wheelbarrows are provided to help you get your kit from car to tent. I had a lovely stay, Despite visiting in October, the Shepard’s hut kept me nice and warm. The hut was as pictured and described. There were lots of lovely nearby walks. The Shepard’s hut was very accommodating for the dogs too who enjoyed their stay and use of the field. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay! Lovely campsite, we had the woodlands all to ourselves and enjoyed exploring the local footpaths and seeing the animals on the farm. Our dog loved it! The host Jon was very helpful and insightful with the local area. Will definitely be returning in the future!

The space is really beautiful and the views are great. It has very basic amenities but it’s the kind of place I like. Being next door to the animals was also a great and entertaining bonus. It’s a short walk to the local village entirely down forest paths if you wish, with a fantastic pub. It’s a particularly nice place to stay out of season when the autumn colours settle in.

Lovely site to do real camping with a proper fire, not in a tiny square pitch hemmed in on all sides by other people. The owner was very welcoming and if it all goes wrong, there’s a pub a short walk away. This wasn’t our first visit and we will come back again.

Spent a wonderful time there. It's really secluded. I had the whole woods alone. The host is very friendly and helpful. I only missed my family because the place is well equipped for a family. Everything is there what you need to have a comfortable superb time in the nature. The host even provided a saw to be able to use the fallen branches for campfire. I will definitely go back, next time probably with my family. I highly recommend this campsite!

A beautiful and peaceful campsite. We loved the South Downs setting and appreciated the off lead dog paddock on site as well. It was also really nice to visit the nearby tearooms and enjoy wine and a cheeseboard in the evening. A super dog friendly site and well maintained facilities. We look forward visiting again in the future!
