San Luis Sunsets
We loved Kevin’s spot. Lots of places to post up on the land, including near the river. Host also helped us out by lending a few small supplies that we had somehow accidentally managed to leave at home. Gorgeous views, relatively easy to find, and close to some of the best outdoor spaces and adventures Colorado has to offer. Pima (co-host on site) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He let us use a portable fire pit to build a small fire, and gave us recs for the area. Bring bug spray if you’re coming in the summer because there are mosquitoes in this part of the valley.

San Luis Sunsets
Sounds of a creek and shade!
Kevin had a great spot along Cotton Wood Creek. Nice shade from the sun but with great views out over the San Luis valley. He even dropped off an unexpected gift of wood for us to use. We were the only ones camping on his land so it was quiet and felt safe.

Kevin is a terrific host and this is a beautiful, peaceful site. It was a fantastic location to camp for Seven Peaks away from the event venue.
