Secluded mountain top
This was our first time yurt camping and it was a delightful experience! We had the smaller green yurt with a large private campsite. The enclosed porch with the victorian bathtub is genius. You still get the feeling of open air bathing, but with privacy and easy access to the yurt. The water was magically hot despite the very cold October night. We soaked for hours in the spring water after spending time around the pleasant campsite listening to wind blow up the mountain side making the forest feel alive. Andrea and her husband are wonderful down to earth hosts and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We were concerned about the cold at night and they put in a propane heater last minute even though we had neglected to reserve it before going. It's an adventure driving there and it feels secluded. The hosts are such friendly people with a beautiful land to share that you feel at home in Shangri La.
Everything we needed was in place. It is very evident Andrea (and family) take great pride in their property and having everything ready for visitors to use. Great stay, I’ve already recommended it to others.
Good not great
Do not purchase any additional items for this listing. Many basic features were broken or not working including lights and space heater.
Charged extra just for sheets on the bed which seemed like gauging.

Our stay at Shangri La was amazing. The love and attention that went into creating this space is palpable. When we stayed, we had the whole camping area to ourselves and were able to hike around and enjoy the amazing mountain. The bath water was hot, and the space is very well maintained.
We made it up the hill in a Prius, but it was a challenge- I would definitely recommend a 4-wheel vehicle or one with some height as the hosts suggest. Make sure to bring extra lanterns and note that there is zero cell reception- a great way to disconnect for a weekend. We absolutely recommend staying here and will be back!
Hot tub paradise!
Our stay was amazing! Its a very tranquil spot. The river is close enough to hang out during the day. Bring food and drinking water. Restaurants and a grocery store is a distance away. We would love to go again!
This is an amazing spot. The yurt was clean, cozy and beautiful. There are stunning views which can be enjoyed from the camp sight as well as the trails around the property. The encore is the warm spring fed bath. Just divine.
