Nice camping spot. Unfortunately the creek was dry, but there’s still a plenty to do nearby.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience
If you’re looking for a peaceful area with swimming, hiking and fishing near by, Stephens land is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for any getaway. I cannot recommend it enough. He is also a wonderful host. We had a majority of the property to ourselves which is so rare for summer, but we definitely weren’t complaining! It was so nice and we will be returning.

Great, clean spot
We really enjoyed camping here! My favorite part was star gazing. I have never in my life seen such a beautiful night sky and was thrilled to see a shooting star. We stayed up for hours just mesmerized by the sky.
As far as the land goes it’s very clean and pretty. It’s summer so of course the creek was mostly dry but we did find some spots along the property with water and it was so fun watching the frogs, tadpoles, and dragonflies. Eel River also not too far away if you want to go swimming/tubing and host kind enough to give us directions so spent a great day there.
It was so quiet on the land and was also great for bird watching. We loved listening to all the songs they sang. We spotted many cool birds.
Afternoons are hot so as host recommends, bring something for shade on this ground. Nights were refreshing and cool.
Nice fire pit and clean benches there for use.
Thank you for allowing us to stay on your land. We would love to come back in the future.

Very private and cozy campsite with all you need for camping. Creek was dry and lacks shade for July, but river is very close and also close drive to nearby lakes. We enjoyed our stay and we’d be happy to come back!

Creekside camp 2
The camp was great. Quiet yet conveniently located, great for kids, dogs and adults.
The water level was low in the creek, but the water hole allowed for a refreshing dip even in July. Eel river is near and was amazing. Dry toilets didn’t smell. There was shade and sunny spots.
Campsites 1 &. 2 were closer to each other then we expected from description (we could see and hear them), but we suspect it was due to temporary closure of the meadow.

Stephen had excellent communications and instructions. The site was clearly marked and the little creek for cooling off was nice.
