This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint! The swimming hole is such a special addition to Ben’s property and a great way for us and our pups to cool down with the summer heat! The cabin not being in direct sun really goes far with it not getting too hot on the site especially with a little breeze it is so cozy:) Ben’s property will definitely always be a place we will come back to ! Thanks again Ben!
Great bunkie, very thoughtfully built and stocked. The futon in the loft was super comfortable and the windows allowed for a nice breeze.

What a great escape!! The bunkie was just what we needed! Our dogs were in heaven roaming around and the bunkie was comfortable and exactly as described. Ben was there to communicate if needed but he was super detailed with the check in instructions/information we were all set! We venture out to this area quite a bit and have been wanting to stop at this bunkie for a while and it did not disappoint. We can’t wait to book again, thanks Ben!

Had a great time at Ben's camp. He has a really nice setup on with great scenery. Our dogs loved it they were exhausted from all the running and playing. We will definitely be coming back
I loved how private it was and that we were able to enter easily on our own timing. Dogs had a blast, definitely coming back!

We loved staying at the bunkie,it was quiet and peaceful! Exactly what we needed. The bunkie was exactly as described and the directions were awesome. Ben responded to messages in a timely fashion. Thx so much for sharing
We loved it. Isolated and peaceful.
The location is perfect if you want peace and quiet.
The sleeping area was comfortable. Great littl fire pit and a picnic table.
The owner is helpful and very chill.
We would go back in a second.

This was our second visit and not our last. We absolutely love this property, the host (Ben) is responsive, helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t ask for more.
We visit this location for the tranquility and to give our dog space to roam and be free, which you just can’t get at a provincial park.

Stayed here several times. Always a great rest stop when Bikepacking. Close to restaurants, etc. Love this Bunkie. And Ben (the owner) is always a pleasure to deal with. Highly Recommended.

We loved this site! A cozy site with lots of area to explore with our pup. Ben was always available and a clear communicator, going above and beyond, with suggestions of things to do in the area.

I had the most delightful stay at the bunky my friend and I rented yesterday. The location was absolutely lovely, nestled across a picturesque field and surrounded by tranquil trees, providing a serene and secluded atmosphere. The bunky itself was attractive and well-built.
One of the things I loved about the bunky was how bright and airy it was. The large windows let in ample natural light, making the small space feel much bigger.
Moreover, the host had thoughtfully stocked the bunky with various useful items that guests might forget or just find useful.
One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible privacy we enjoyed. With no other guests around, we felt like we had our own little haven in nature. It was incredibly peaceful and allowed us to truly unwind and disconnect from the outside world.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and left feeling very happy with our stay.

Was a very nice spot! Peaceful. Close to a few good restaurants. If you go defiantly stop at burger guru!
Thought we’d have a hot sleep but it was actually pretty chilly at night which was nice.

Had an amazing time! The land was so peaceful and quiet, very private which was nice. The bunkie was beautifully built and cozy but as the lower temperatures approach make sure you bring some warm blankets as it gets cold at night! The host isn’t kidding when he says this is just a solid tent, bring anything and everything you’ll need from cooking supplies to a shovel to dig yourself a cat hole, this is no 5 star hotel but that’s the whole point…. It was refreshing to get outta dodge and reconnect with nature at this lovely bunkie in the woods!

Our experience was great! We arrived when it was dark and there were small outdoor lights to help us locate the cabin. The mattress and floor mats in the cabin were useful and comfortable. Small hooks inside were a nice touch. Our sleep was quiet (location was secluded enough) and the morning sun was no issue through the windows. The town close by also had all the conveniences we needed for our stay.
Second time staying in the bunkie. It will be a staple for me. The place is great and saved me from camping in a thunderstorm. Clean. Well built. Quiet. Ben responds quickly. I’ll be back on my next bike trip. Highly recommended.
Beautiful little cabin, very light and airy despite the small size! The counter space indoors is perfect for preparing food, nice little fire pit (we didn’t use) and the loft bed was comfortable. Lots of room for the dogs on the ground floor m.
Perfect jump off point for some great hiking and exploring the area, which has some great meals and treats, along with the nature .
No electricity, no running water, no toilet... no problem. In fact, that's one of the many charms of the place - it's truly a cabin in the woods, with none of the modern accouterments. Ben is a great host: detailed information, an appropriate level of communication and an all-around good vibe. The expectation is that you will enjoy your time, leave the cabin in as good (or better) shape than you found it and, in return, it will provide you with a little bit of peace and solitude. Is it for everyone? Probably not. Was it for me? Absolutely. Thanks Ben, and thanks Modern Minimalist Bunkie, you were just what I needed.
The bunkie was exactly as pictured. Us and our dog had a great trip! Very secluded and quiet. Lovely to get out of the city and see the stars. Ben was a great host and so kind to us when we had car troubles. Will definitely be back!
Ben’s place close to the lovely Flesherton village was perfect for our last bikepacking adventures. And Ben’s spot is completely in the middle of the wild & makes you feel far from everywhere! Green nature & blue skies are amazing in this region. For bikepackers carrying the minimal gear while travelling (like us) it is very helpful to find a couple of chairs for our comfort & free wood for a nice fire! Moreover, Ben was responsive, communicative and very helpful with hints & tips. Highly recommended & we’ll be back sooner or later. If you ever have the chance, spend a night at Ben’s (at the bunkie or with your tent), you won’t regret it! Woof!
Dragonflies by day, fireflies by night! The meadow was in full bloom with wild flowers and long grasses, nestled by a lush, healthy forest that was great to explore! Really interesting sites and so much flora and fauna! The star gazing at night was incredible and we even managed to catch a shooting star! The site is close to the local town which has a great little cheese shop and bakery/cafe with lovely staff. The sounds of nature, birds, coyotes yipping in the distance at night were a welcome change from city life. There was plenty of wood to be harvested and Ben was kind enough to leave us a pile of deadfall upon arrival.
This was our first experience with self reliant camping and we were really happy with how it went and the natural resources the meadow offered. It was a scorcher when we went and the sun is pretty unforgiving, but a tossed together sun shelter is an easy, rustic fix. We brought a 5 gallon jug of water and had enough to douse our fire at the end of our stay. We chose to create a bucket loo for our "facilities". We removed all of our garbage/waste and disposed of it ourselves.
Such a great little cabin in the woods. Felt very private but was close to town. We brought our two dogs and they loved all the space to run free and explore on the property. The loft was super cozy and the perfect place to watch the sun rise in the morning. It was chilly at night but we bundled up and slept like babies. Will definitely be back.

Excellent stay. Very private and quiet.
Beautiful camping spot! Firewood was supplied and chairs which was a wonderful surprise. Woods nearby if you need extra materials to start fire. Would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking for a relaxing spot for rest and relaxation. Very quiet and serene
