Private land bordered on South by Medicine Bow National Forest. Ponds, small lakes and streams close by for trout fishing. Other activities could be Hiking, bicycling, ATVing and Mushroom hunting. No electricity, running water or sewer. Moose, deer and elk sightings are to be expected. Site sits in a small community of cabins at 9,000 feet (the terrain is mostly flat or gentle grades up and down). Cool mornings and evenings and warm to hot days. Usually 35-40 degree mornings and 80 degree days June through most of July. Warming up to 50 to 60 degree mornings late July through August. After August, fall comes here and there. There is a lot of forest to explore. Hosts on hand at cabin to help in your exploration. No grocery stores or restaurants within 25 miles on mountain roads (approximate 1 hour drive) or 45 minutes by highway. Lots of stars by night as there is no light polution. Some cell phone services work better than others. . . .But, there are places close by where most can get phone calls to connect. In case of emergency, your hosts have a phone that works at this location. We are currently in a fire restricted area. We can offer fresh water for your RV or water container. We are closed October through May because of snow.

Carolle and Robert were very nice and hospitable hosts. The address needs to be listed in their site, but we eventually got it it. The site was fairly flat and quiet. $45 a night was somewhat steep considering there was only water available. I had stayed at a site the night before with power, water and a dump station for $25…just saying they need to reduce their rates
