This small private cabin has a deck with a wonderful view of Granitic rock formations and trees, There is a propane fire pit on the deck. It sleeps 2 on a double futon. There is room on the floor for a child to sleep. We welcome well mannered dogs who won't disturb the abundant wildlife or our neighbors livestock. Thousands of acres of public lands are just north of the cabin waiting for you to explore. The night sky is vast and inviting.
Our cabin is close to several state outdoor recreational attractions including Curt Gowdy State Park which offers kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals. The park has hiking trails, mountain bike trails, fishing and other water sports. It is roughly 7 miles from the cabin. Refeshing weekend getaway
We booked our weekend at Chas's place wanting to try glaming for once (as usual tent campers). My mom booked the trnt spot for the same weekend, and we all had a blast! Chas is so kind, friendly, and helpful. He is knowledgeable about the area and even brought my mom coffee in the morning since she had a less fancy set up than we did. The cabin was glorious. We loved waking up to the sunrise outside the wall of windows while still snuggling in bed and the ability to heat water up for coffee right in our cabin. Its decorated beautifully and very well thought out. We stayed plenty warm and the futon is actually very comfortable. We loved our stay so much and will be back again. Highly recommend hiking in the national forest just down the road!
More than beautiful
This is our first trip to Wyoming, we found this very pretty cabin. It’s small but very comfortable, clean and has beautiful view. Host Chas is very nice, definitely we will back this place.
This cabin is a true oasis! Chas and his wife are so welcoming, helping me navigate my way to the cabin. Once I arrived, I was blown away by how charming and how private. My pup had so much space to explore!
The cabin interior is very clean and has everything you would need: water, coffee bar, heater, lighters, outlets, phone charging cords, etc.
The outhouse/bathroom is adorable, it has a little sink, flushable toilet, and electricity.
Everything about this cabin is thoughtful and it made my stay perfect. I also loved how safe I felt as a solo female traveler.
Thank you for the stay! I can't wait to be back, someday!
Super sweet cabin with a view
Super sweet cabin with everything we needed. The heater/hot water system worked beautifully. We loved watching the stars at night and the sun rise in the morning. Chas was perfect with communicating before and during our stay. The RV style bathroom was awesome! We will definitely return.
Cozy 'glamping" with stunning view
South Crow Cabin was the perfect end of a week filled with adventure in Wyoming for us. The peacefulness, the view, the ambient décor made South Crow cabin special. We felt a sense of complete rest. It was difficult to pull ourselves away from the long range view and the quiet, but the oh-so-close Vedauwoo park was a welcome final adventure to our vacation. A thoughtful touch was upon arriving late after a long drive on our first night, the futon bed was ready for sleep and waiting. It was spotless and details that matter when traveling were made available within the cabin. The "loo with a view" brought a smile. We would happily return for a stay in South Crow Cabin. Thank you for creating such a special place. Melissa and Brain
We enjoyed every second of our time at South Crow Cabin! This campsite is an incredible hidden gem, and we are unbelievably happy we got a chance to stay at this magical place.
Chas and Gail were some of the most incredible hosts we’ve ever met; they were warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.
The cabin is incredibly thought out, down to every last detail. There are usb charger outlets right on the wall along with a bag of various charging cables for whoever might need them. There’s a bluetooth speaker for campers to use as well.
A gallon of water is provided, along with coffee provisions. We were blown away by the dual purpose heater which can be used to heat both the cabin and water for coffee.
The giant reclaimed windows open up for a fresh breeze through the cabin and provide the most spectacular view.
Chas and his wife Gail have an incredible eye for design and we fell in love with the unique and artistic cabin decor.
The clean and well maintained bathroom is just a few steps from the cabin door. There is a sink operated by a foot pump that provides plenty of water. The bathroom is well stocked with towels, and cleaning supplies.
We watched the sunset on the cabin patio, roasting marshmallows over the fire table and enjoying spectacular canyon views. The fire table was convenient, safe, and very easy to use; we loved it!
We loved the location of this campsite; it’s a very short drive from the main freeway, yet it borders thousands of acres of public land, making it feel like it’s truly out in the middle of undisturbed nature. The dirt path to get from the road to the cabin is clearly marked and well maintained and it’s easy to drive straight up to the campsite.
Along the property fence line Chas has placed sturdy ladders that make it easy for campers to hike to and explore the beautiful canyon on the public land. There are hiking paths winding as far as you can see into the stunning landscape, and we wished we had way more time to go out and explore everything!
