We have used Hipcamp several times and have always been very happy with the sites we have camped at. One of the reasons we pick sites are the reviews and this is why I choose to write one.. Jenifer was very good in responding to our inquiries. The directions were spot on and the the site was as described. We had a concrete slab for our camper.. no leveling needed. The electric, sewer, and water were all in one location. We loved the slab where the fire pit was located which assumed was a slab from an old cabin and faced the lake. There is a dock with a bench which is perfect for morning coffee. The view is awesome.. If you are looking for swimming..probably not. It’s very shallow and weedy. I did see fish jumping and I saw a Pike next to the dock. We had a deer wander into the campsite and was unconcerned with our presence. There are Chippies also. There are cabins or houses on both side of the site. We were there during the middle of the week and we saw no one. It is 7 to 8 miles to Spooner. Nice little town.. a brewery.. and many little shops. There is hiking trails really close and also several restaurants within 2 miles. We would highly recommend this site. Jenifer is a great host and easy to deal with, and most likely we will be back.

This place is a true gem! We parked our camper on the cement slab and hooked up to water and electricity. We fished from the dock and our dogs swam and played the entire 4 days off leash. We will definitely come back.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We are actually at the property this weekend working on rebuilding the firepit. We also added some patio furniture to make things a little more comfortable for our guests so, hopefully, your next visit will be even better! Thanks for the review and we look forward to hosting you again!

Jennifer's place was absolutely beautiful. It feels like you are miles from everything but in reality, you are just a few minutes from anything you need including a really nice grocery and a great golf course. The seclusion allowed the dogs to play off leash. We had wonderfully relaxing mornings on the dock.
We went to Madeline Island for a day trip, and it was also spectacular. Lake Superior is simply a must see.
Thanks for sharing your place with us.

This beautiful spot was our favorite part of our two week trip. The camper pad was flat and afforded a beautiful view of the lake. There was a dock and a separate fire pit area. It was a good distance from the road which made it quiet and secluded. There are residences on either side, but there is plenty of forest buffer in between.
Jenifer is a fabulous host and Replied quickly to our questions.

I give this location a HUGE thumbs up and hope to visit again.

The lake from the dock The view from the pad and a sweet little dog enjoying camping life!

Fantastic quiet peaceful spot. My dogs loved swimming and it's a great lake for kayaking. The road in front is nice for walking and leads to nearby trails. Lots of deer, and interesting birds (loons, kingfisher, herons etc). I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of mosquitoes. Looking forward to coming back.
