What a great little slice of heaven! Nice, clean, relaxing spot in a gorgeous field of flowers. You feel away from it all, yet still have many places nearby for food, biking, fishing etc. Definitely a nice spot to get away from it all!

It’s a very sweet, rustic tiny house on the prairie. I love the treehouse and how close it is to the bike path. Mark has thought of just about everything, which makes packing easy.

Beautiful site, convenient proximity to various parks, cabin stocked with numerous amenities, and a very green setup.

I spent 4 nights with my kids (5 & 7), and we had a blast - will return. They loved the tree house. Also: beaches, bike path, lookout tower, in town food joints… plenty to stay occupied with.

A good mix of ‘roughing it’ and the ease of electricity - mini-fridge, hot plate, electric kettle, oscillating fan.

Such a fabulous site. My kids loved the treehouse - and I loved how well-stocked and cozy the cabin was. The location is incredible! I will absolutely be back.

This little cabin in a meadow was just what we needed! We had rented a camper van for the grandparents, but didn't want to stay in a campground close to other people. The property has a nice level gravel driveway that we positioned our Sprinter on nicely, facing the cabin where the grandkids stayed. The cabin has lots of screened windows, and beautiful full glass french doors, so you can take in the meadow and trees beyond. Over-sized cots were quite comfortable. Full electric (inside and out). Heater if you needed it. The outhouse has a compost toilet, so it doesn't smell like a normal outhouse would. This property was a nice change from camping with trees all around you. The meadow is quiet...and the bird watching is fantastic! Will come again!

I finally got to go camping in the snow! My friends and I actually stayed at McDundee Hollow (tent camping) back in the summertime, so it was fun to revisit the place in a totally different season. This time, we decided to book the cabin since there would be a lot of snow and we weren't sure how frozen the ground would be to pitch the tent. It was such a fun weekend.

Mark was so great, from the outset. We actually talked on the phone a few days before the trip, so that he could give me a run down on where to find things at the campsite and tidbits to be aware of.

The cabin was very nice and neat. There are 4 little bunk bed type cots, a little kitchenette, a heater, and TONS of lamps that you can take around with you. The cabin seemed to be sealed very well because it stayed warm throughout the night. The cabin was also bigger than I had anticipated; a little bit of a TARDIS situation. So it was great to be able to keep a bunch of our bags and water tank and camp stove in the cabin with us instead of locking it in the car overnight.

I really like this place. Haven't decided if I like the campsite better in the summer or winter, but highly recommend either season.

Warm, serene cabin and property. The winter fog was beautiful and surreal. Butler Lake loop trail was right down the road. Great winter getaway for me and my dog.

Cozy little cabin with great amenities. Easy to find and access. Great surroundings, feels remote and isolated. Even had occasional cell data (tmobile).

The radiator doesn't quite keep up with winter, so bring warm clothes and sleeping bags.
