The perfect weekend getaway!
Our stay was everything we we’re looking for! Our Hosts Cory & Lynn were very friendly and helpful in assisting us with getting our gear down to the site from the parking area. Their Glampsite has all the amenities you’d look for in making your stay a bit more comfortable! The natural sound of the creek at night made for a perfect night’s sleep! Can’t wait to come back!!
This was the most secluded, relaxing camping experience we've had. It was a very private site. All the soothing nature sounds - babbling river, birds, crickets, campfire crackles.
Would recommend! Are already looking forward to finding a longer weekend for a stay next year.
Very Beautiful place, the host was awesome and very accommodating. The sites ave very private with the best views one could ask for camping. Definitely will be back. If camping isn't your thing they also have a very cool cabin on the property you can rent.
We loved this site. Nice hike into the valley. Peaceful by the Bad Axe creek. Beautiful setting and sounds. Owners set up the site very thoughtfully, even providing bug spray (which was definitely needed) and a campers’ loo (5 gallon bucket with a seat). They were great at communicating in advance too. Rained most of the weekend and we still had a great time. We would definitely come back.
Beautiful, quiet woods
Campsite 1 was absolutely beautiful! A nice escape from the hot summer days. The hosts were very communicative and helped us get our gear down to the bottom when we arrived and back up at the end of our stay. Definitely an awesome place to stay
A beautiful experience
This place is an ideal getaway. It's secluded via the 15-20 minute hike in and out. Lynn was so kind to help us haul our gear with her UTV. She was just a genuinely friendly person who clearly loves to share their terrific slice of this world.
The sites are down in this ravine, which creates some beautiful scenery as you enjoy watching and listening to the Bad Axe flow. The hot whether doesn't seem to penetrate the tree canopy down- we were extremely comfortable all weekend, even as the temperatures reached the mid 90s. Plus, you can just step into the river to cool off. By evening, a fog settled in and the fireflies began to light up. It was a perfect place and definitely "magical" as other reviewers have said. Highly recommend it here. We will be back again!
An absolute gem
My wife , kids and I ( 4 kids 5,7,13 & 14)just stayed here for Father’s Day weekend . First off, BiG thank you to Cory and Lynn! What amazing and awesome hosts! They were so helpful and accommodating with all our gear and helping us get to the camp site . As much as I want to keep their property a secret for me to enjoy to myself lol I have to give 5 stars on the property and overall experience. Wow what a beautiful campsite . If your looking to go camping (real camping ) and not deal with all the extra stuff and people then this place was made for me and you . I don’t think there is enough space to review on this . The creek was my favorite part . The scenic wildness around you and sounds of nature are like out of a tv show . Had the BEST time and can’t wait to go back . They also have a cabin that I’m hoping to try soon ! Thanks again for a true camping experience.
