Our farm is 65 miles from Washington, DC and 3 miles from several grocery stores. History, hiking and adventure abound here. There are 7 Washington homes in this county that was once surveyed by George Washington. Your campsite is just a few miles from Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, white water rafting, fishing, the Appalachian Trail, and Hollywood Casino, but you will be camping by a small stream, surrounded by hundreds of acres of farm land.

< p>We have cattle, horses and goats on the farm. We will have many babies being born from late winter into the spring this year. Last year we had 3 calves born before April 19th. < p>We routinely see eagles, hawks, herons, ducks and too many other birds to list. Deer, foxes, and wild turkeys are often seen. Bring your tent! There is a water faucet. We also provide a fire ring, firewood and picnic table. You are a short walk from the main house.

It was a wonderful experience, Tom met me at the site and we talk for a while, about the farm and the animals that he is keeping, and nearby places ti visit. The site was very nice, plenty of fire wood and tap water. Highly recommended. I ma planing to come back soon. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the historical town Harpers Ferry, only 15 minutes away.

Loved the quick communication of our hosts and thoughtful arrangements. The site was both safe and private, with the lovely feature of waking up to friendly cow faces in the morning. Short drive to groceries at Aldi or the hiking and shops of Harper’s Ferry, yet still peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend!

Nice spot that felt like the middle of nowhere and still close to civilization... The kids (8 and 9) absolutely loved it also. It's a great place to "figure out" camping. I forgot coffee and ran to town and picked some up. Crisis avoided. We loved was the privacy. We've camped alot in the Shanendoahs and in West VA at Seneca Rocks and you aren't next to 100 other campers and campsites. We put up some hammocks and walked around and visited with the horses and other animals while there. We need to do this often was a comment from one of the kids. Great time and spot, will do it again for sure!

Great private area with drinking water and a fireplace and firewood. Me and my friends enjoyed staying here and would definitely look for it again if we’re in the harpers ferry area

We had a great experience camping at this site for two nights. We met Tom's wife at the main house, and she led us down to the campsite. The location was about 100yds down from a small house, but otherwise private. A firepit/ring was provided, as well as a picnic table and a portable bucket toilet, surrounded by a tarp and 20 yds from the main campsite. There was more than enough wood for two nights and plenty of smaller sticks to use as tinder.

The ground was flat and soft with grass. Parking was up the hill about 50yds, near a water spigot. Bring your own jugs, and make sure to run the spigot for a bit before filling, as it may have a bit of sediment in the system.

Note that this is a working farm, and the campsite is surrounded on three sides by electric fencing, although they are a comfortable distance away. We saw the cows wander down one morning, but otherwise no farm sounds or smells if that bothers.

The location is fantastic. We did several hikes at Harper's Ferry while staying here, and it's 15 minutes to the parking area from the site. As mentioned in other reviews, there's an Aldi's a few minutes away and pretty much anything you'd need along the main road. This does mean that there's a bit of light pollution from the nearby towns, but on a clear night, you can see some of the milky way and a few shooting stars. The tuner cars out on the main road were the only traffic we could hear.

I highly recommend this campsite, and I would be happy to stay here again.
