The cabin is the perfect mix of creature comforts and the great outdoors. Close to some great hikes. It is just an hour from Seattle too if you’re just trying to escape the city for a couple of days.
My husband, our two dogs and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here! Very relaxing atmosphere that is both private and peaceful. All the basics are provided. Very quiet and slept better than we had. Absolutely recommend this place!
Another beautiful weekend at this lovely cabin! There was more water in the creek this time, which was magical to listen to❤️ The fall temps warranted our trying out the cabin’s propane heater, which created a cozy feel.
Dave provided us a big crate of wood, so we thoroughly enjoyed a campfire. We also enjoyed a walkabout on the property which has short little hikes that loop around. The hot outdoor shower was once again a delightful treat🤗
You can smell the trees in the air!
The Norwegian cabin is fun and the surrounding area is beautiful. This is our second time visiting the cabin and my kids love it. Cute mushrooms to look at and fun trails to explore. Thanks for sharing the cabin with us, Dave!
Words cannot express how beautiful this place is. It’s the perfect getaway. I love how the other sites aren’t right next to each other. They are literally far away. I explored all of the campsites. I’m not just a cabin camper, but a tent camper as well. So I’ll definitely be staying in one of the covered tent campsites. This cabin though, had the perfect set up. My dog was super happy to be able to roam around without being on a leash. Out of all the places I’ve been to, this one is now my favorite. This is a must visit!! You won’t be disappointed. Did I mention you don’t have to share a bathroom with anyone?! Every site has their own. Along with their own water faucet.
Beautiful and private place to camp
Beautiful and private place to camp. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time recharging here. It’s pretty close to Granite Falls (only about a 10min drive to town and 15min drive to the waterfall), so we were able to get some sightseeing in and grab ice every day for our cooler.
This was our second time at the cabin and we will book for a third! It is such an easy weekend trip. My son loves to sleep in the tent, and I love to have the cabin to store our belongings. We loved the trails and the solitude- there were other campers we saw driving in, but everyone is so far away we never saw them.
We loved our stay!!
This cabin was so homey! It sleeps two (in a wooden bunk bed) but a third person could easily fit a mattress on the floor. It had a sweet table with two stools and a counter with a propane stove. It was an especially hot weekend we stayed there, so we spent little time inside. The pilot light in the little fireplace had been left on, so the cabin was actually hot upon arrival. We turned off the gas and also covered the main window with a blanket and started running the two battery-operated fans we had brought …which made the cabin very pleasant to sleep in. Dave’s land was a true sanctuary…quiet, gorgeous and peaceful, especially with the sound of Jordan creek below. We were thrilled with the outdoor hot shower, especially after sweating a big part of each day. It was delightful to go to bed refreshed! We had brought our own camp table and cook stove, which we set up just outside of the cabin on the porch. It would have been way too hot to have cooked inside!! We loved that there were options of places to hang out on the property, especially as the sun would shift and we sought out shade…a lovely deck with chairs as well as two picnic tables (one by the shower and the other at the nearby tent site). The outhouse had solar lighting plus an extra roll of t.p. There was also a tiny sink with cold water outside at the back of the cabin which was awesome for brushing teeth and rinsing dishes. Dave has really created a lovely, inviting place to stay!! He is an excellent communicator. He was super quick to respond whenever I messaged him and he emailed detailed info. (including directions, a map of the property, gate codes, and a list of what to bring) right before our trip was to start. He also provided awesome signage all around his property as well as details of how to run the shower. Directions for using the USB charging port inside the cabin would have been useful, but we had brought our own portable solar charger to charge our devices. Note: this is a solar-powered cabin so there are no electrical outlets. We are already talking about booking another stay at this delightful place!!
